4900 likelyFreecharge mcc ?
What is happening. Secret cult group. Is this true?In last few days I am having a feeling that there is a secret group (formed in last 6 months) and members of it must be having an alternative plan in place (to overcome exclusion of airtel dc option) to get extra 5% upto 500 (telecom). That's why they are not reacting / responding, neither helping newbies to get to know those things easily in fear of losing their edge.
If my suspicion is true, then let them be happy. I will be doing some test transactions this month to find some of those edges and alternatives.
Listed as Freecharge Billdesk in this thread. There are 3 more MCC codes for Freecharge.Yes I know and to confirm that did a small test transaction yesterday and checked with customer care today mrng where they said mcc is 4900. I got this merchant Accelyst something in otp msg and after payment it shows FREECHARGE PAYMENT TEC Gurgaon IN in email.

IF THIS COULD HELP YOU.
I’ve compiled a list of merchants along with their MCC codes, including some of the latest updates. However, as you know, apps frequently change their MCC codes, so some of the information may no longer be accurate. If you’re aware of additional merchants and their MCC codes, please feel free to add them to the sheet for everyone’s reference.

I was under the thought that since many devaluations have happened for different cards where they exclude some utility payments from reward points, Millenia would've gone through the same.Check Millennia DC page. Where it is written that Utlities will not fetch it or it will be considered differently. Millennia DC page has list of exclusion in pdf and 4900 isn't part of it. So why wouldn't it provide on Unipay?
2 dc not possibleI was under the thought that since many devaluations have happened for different cards where they exclude some utility payments from reward points, Millenia would've gone through the same.
Got your point.
One doubt - I already have Platinum as part of my salary account and they haven't charged any annual fee for card even after moving salary credit to another account, can I hold 2 debit cards for one HDFC account? Existing Plat and a new Millenia? Will my Plat card be deactivated if I get a Millenia card?
Y e sHi, I received Mastercard platinum debit card. Do we get cashback if I use this in unipay for cc bill payment

4) Indusind exclusive or select debit cards (around ~0.9% cashback): There are 2 main cards : visa signature and Mastercard World. Both can be held together and free of charge with select or exclusive accounts. Use paytm or SBI Unipay for visa. Sbi unipay or Payzapp for mastercard variant. NO Alternative to SBI unipay: Airtel removed dc option to pay credit card bills.‘Airtel’ (2 merchant names, both work) , Navi app. They only support bbps cc bill payment. Airtel gives 4900 (utility) mcc, same as SBI Unipay.
Canara bbps/setu website (https://billpe.setu.co/1449602066912642206) has 5311 MCC ("Retail CC" merchant name) for paying cc bills.
Ongoing issues
(1) For Non-BBPS CC billers (like Amex or SC), you cannot use SBI Unipay and most other apps. You can load Amazon wallet or payzapp wallet using debit cards which give points on Wallet load (like HDFC Millenia) and pay using the bill desk website. Alternatively, you can use cc issuer NEFT/UPI details as well.
Amex: https://www.americanexpress.com/in/...-statements-and-balance/making-a-payment.html
SC: https://www.sc.com/in/credit-cards/payment-option/
(2) HDFC Billpay service has changed it's MCC, so avoid using that. Use Unipay instead.
(3) Indus dc points are not regular, so will have to wait and still no guarantee that you will get the points or correct number of points.
(4): Some have reported idfc dc is blocked while account is active. You can complaint to idfc, it gets solved in 3-5 days.
(5) SBI Unipay does not allow to pay SBI CC bill when you are logged in for some users. So, dont login and you will be able to pay SBI CC bill.
