Let’s post the details of your first ever credit card, that’s right if you remember which bank it was, what was the limit, what year it was issued and if you still have it, if yes what’s the limit now on it???

I ll go first :
My first ever card was a crappy little HDFC easy value something card with a limit of just 20,000/-
It was issued to me in 2006-07. Yes, I still have it but it’s now transformed through the years after multiple upgrades into the big daddy of all cards ie the HDFC Infinia with 15L limit. S, 20k to 15L not bad 🙂

May i ask if all upgrades were LTF? Is your current select cc ltf too?

My first Credit card was HDFC Freedom, something they gave when I opened my salary account. It had a meagre limit of Rs. 20000 which was less than my internship salary.
I still have that card after a couple of upgrades as HDFC Regalia, don't use it much apart from discounts on mobiles etc but the limit has bumped up from Rs. 20000 to Rs 7 lakh gradually.

I never had a credit card till 2019. I had a misguided idea all these years that a credit card was something bad to have and using a credit card signalled bad financial discipline (yes, you can laugh :) ). So it was only Net Banking for payments as I would be too bothered about adding my debit...

I got my first CC from HSBC way back in 2011. Limit was few thousand, now limit is 8L+. I was not into CC game till off late. Could have managed to get Infinia 3-4 year back, got invite 2 years back didnt apply. This year finally took the plunge 🙂

My first CC was some HDFC card way back in 2007. I dont remember the Credit limit nor the name.

Held a Regalia for long which just recently got upgraded to DCB. Limit is not much - 5.5 lakhs 🙂

May i ask if all upgrades were LTF? Is your current select cc ltf too?

No... Nevel LTF but I never paid any because I use to get fee reversal

My first credit card was the HDFC Moneyback with a limit of 40k, which I received on December 9th, 2014 as a pre-approved offer. I recorded the exact date in an Excel sheet and still have the statement that was sent to me by post. Later, I opened a Savings account with a minimum average balance (MAB) of 25,000 to deposit a cheque worth approximately USD 236 from Amazon USA. Initially, a nearby Government Bank rejected the cheque, so I had to open an account with HDFC as it was a private bank. While browsing through net banking, I came across the option to apply for a credit card, and I applied for it. It was still the Moneyback card with a limit of 8.4 lakhs until 2020 when I received a call offering an upgrade to Infinia, which now has a limit of 12.84 lakhs
