Let's talk wallets

Yea but using password managers for pin is too much task tbh
Yes. It is a slightly inconvenient task. But apart from storing PINs, It can also store Card No., CVV, expiry, etc. so you do not need have the card with you when making a purchase online. It also stores passwords of various online accounts. Card PIN is just one of the things you can store in it.

Also, there are many password managers, which are much more convenient than the ones I recommended, at the cost of some data security. At least, I do not have to worry about forgetting my password, or card details now. I use my password manager a lot. It has become one of the most necessary apps in my mobile.

True password managers are compulsory in this day and age

Yeah i let Google save my card info and only needed to enter cvv

  • I use this for storing the cards in my home -

  • This while going out -

  • And to stop carrying all my cards everywhere , or while going to my family/friends, where they may need a credit card, for online purchases) that I own-
Apple Notes, Zoho Notes (both). (I dont use Google Notes to store Credit card numbers). I store them in a cryptic format which only I can know.

Why don't you use password manager to store cc number

Why don't you use password manager to store cc number
First thing is, Google is bad with data. Imean, they are the best with data processing, but not with regards to privacy.
Secondly, I cannot use my cards,in case I store them in password manager vault, when let's say, I am visiting a family member, and suddenly they need a product online, where there are discounts with a card that I own.
Third thing, some of the best Password Manager vaults charge a lot of money. Kaspersky for example, charge Rs 430 or something per month. So, I prefer to use free stuff, unless paid things are absolutely required.

1.Why use Google to store cards!!!
I never use Google to save cards.

2.Why can't you use the cards when stored password manager vault??

3.Use Bitwarden it's an open-source password manager with zero knowledge encryption along with paid and free plans.
The free plans are good enough to get the work done.

No. I dont use Google.

Is the stitching strong enough to hold fully loaded wallet.
Does it actually feels like fabric of just feels nylon
I am also using the same wallet. I had used earlier version of Wildcraft(Metis bi fold) for almost 5 years, no issues with stitching at all and pretty much the same condition when I have bought it. It's much more manageable than leather wallets and used to stuff 10-12 cards easily and you can also hand wash it. The older one is Bi fold, much bigger, I got the newer one(Roam plus) for the extra card slots. The newer model size is small so they reduced the card slot, so it is slightly inconvenient to take the cards compared to older model. I would not recommend the Roam Plus if you want slimmer wallet, better to stick with Bi fold and stuff the extra cards into the slots behind the dedicated card slots

I also use Bitwarden to store and manage all my debit & credit cards.

It's the best password manager IMO and even the paid plan costs only $10. I pay them to support the developers even though one doesn't need to pay to use most of the features. Core functionality is free.

I normally doubt about the privacy of the wallets, so I dont use them. Since many people are giving positive response to Bitwarden, I shall give it a try.

They are open-source and their server code has been audited.

Plus, the data is always encrypted. Even in case of hack, no one will get the unencrypted data.

So do give it a good try.

You need establish a pattern.

E.G. If your CC no is 9876 5432 1234 5678

Say your pattern is : Pick 1 no from each block, so PIN can be 9515
Say your pattern is : Double the last no from each block and take last digit; So PIN would 2486

There are endless way; you just need to find a unique pattern
No need to remember any more password
I usually add my credit card details in contacts app.
i.e. make card issuer contact.. put the 16 digit card # as the "phone number" select drop down from 'label' under the said phone number, choose 'custom' and add the expiry CVV and pin. See Example.

Whoever wants an ultra thin wallet, consider this. I am using this for six months; also gifted to my father. Good for those who hold multiple cards.

With and without cards. First one is holding 11 cards + cash.

How long did it last, from what I looked into reviews of Slimfold tyvek wallets, they can last for 2 years.

It is still in good condition. Obviously, it is not as durable as leather wallets. But it will definitely last more than two years.

I've plugged this company earlier too...doing it again with some pictures. This wallet is 14 years old, very roughly used, drenched in rains, dragged on tarmac in a couple of bike accidents, soaked in mud and grit and sand in beaches.....it's guaranteed for life by the company and they honour that guarantee....speaking from personal experience. Starts of in a lighter colour and acquires a patina that is a hallmark of good quality leather.....I'm sure it will last long enough to pass on to my son.
