(Limit increase) Update your SBI app and check if you have a limit increase option under benefits.

CreditCard limit (CL) increase option is a targeted feature. Only those qualifying n only those selected by their processes for such CL increase only will get that option in their App.

I think it's NOT dependent on the App's version.

CL for my card is close to 4L. Is it their max limit? 🤔
Very rarely they cross 4l as cl but their minimum starts from 5k lol mine they screwed up during upgrade and cl made 64k can't even use it even if I use 8k as per cibil it will take 30% usage on Vistara prime. I actually had 3lkh and when they tried splitting it to airindia card they goofed up and card never arrived 4times they tried all failure. And max li.it closed the card as they never wanted to transfer the limit to this card for past 4 years. I have always had bad experience with sbi. When ever I try to close their say it ltf now and line disconnects. Just holding on for small payments or in a box.

No. The CL depends on many factors n eligibility parameters.

I once had a 7+L limit on SBI Employee Card (Gold Visa). After that, I held other SBI cards with over 5L limit. Now, as a Pensioner, I have only 1 SBI card - SBI CB with a 3+L limit. Never bothered to ask them for increase as I have other 12-14 cards.

So, there is no such fixed upper ceiling for CL. Try to take a SECURED Card with a FD of 10L. You will get 90% of that as your CL.

I stumbled upon the thread by @Anindya98 and got a marginal LE increase. The link to the original post is given at the end. Please note that I had no offer to increase limit and my previous request for LE was rejected on 21st March.

I had selected 5L as the new CL but got 4.62L (~ +10%).

I am writing down the steps from my memory, hence please excuse for any errors 🙂
1. Login to sbicard.com
2. Go to Benefits -> Credit Limit Increase
3. Select your desired limit and authenticate with OTP. In my case on submitting the OTP, the page didn't proceed to the next step, however I received an SMS from JD-SBICRD with the SR number. I closed the page and repeated the steps 1 and 2. I was directly taken to a page where the SR number is visible along with the Proceed button. Clicked the button for next step.
4. Select an bank where you have a Savings account, FD, or where you make most transactions etc.
5. I accepted the message that the page will be routed to an external link. Signup/authenticate yourself to the Anumati page.
6. Select the Account which was chosen in the step 4, and click on Approve.
7. You will receive a Thank You message, and immediately received an SMS from JD-SBICRD with the new Limit.

Hope this helps the community.
