Looking for 0 Forex Cash Withdrawal Debit Card

Hi all,
I travel often to foreign countries for leisure and though I have good 0 forex markup credit cards, I would also like to get a 0 forex markup cash withdrawal debit card or any other way that I can withdraw cash in foreign land in their currency.

How good is the global acceptability of a card on JCB network. I guess its a japanese network. Any idea if there would be issues with its acceptability outside Asia ?

North America - JCB accept almost everywhere in USA because tieup with Discover network.

Europe - Some countries accept almost everywhere including villages too.

You can withdraw cash at zero forex from IDFC WoW credit card also... it has one time fees of 236 which can be recovered with cc bill pay cashback if withdrawal is >20k

Well if you have those two good debit cards, then good, else no.

Seems like a good option. Can you tell more about how it works. Like I can add more to the FD to increase my withdrawal limit but then how do I reduce it. Basically the idea is that everytime I travel I would like to top up the FD get decent limit to withdraw cash if needed and then pay the bill and take that money back out of the FD. Is the FD which backs the credit card liquid ?

No you can't do that. You can increase limit by creating FD, but reduction not possible unless card is closed

That is the feature of all IDFC credit cards... they do not charge interest till due date. I have withdrawn multiple times. You can check IDFC Wow threads on this forum for more info

Oh. Seems like a big issue then. Lets assume I would like to withdraw 1 lack, first I would have to make the FD of 1 lakh which I am totally fine with but then not being able to reduce this limit and having a lakh stuck there would be an issue.

Yeah.. thats the reason many people run away from this card.

It is good for those who anyways have few lakhs lying around FD in banks so diverting 1L to IDFC would not be an issue and does not impact any of the investment goals
