Looking for Mattress Recommendation - Query

Iss jamane mein koi chiz "aachi" nai milti...they make fool of you by clever marketing tactics and influencers are just there to make money... nothing else.... it's like iske pehle ppl never used to sleep on mattress and everyone had severe back issues....sab marketing gimmick hai...kuch log samaj jate hai and they never fall for this...kuch log der se samajte hai...
Being a material scientist I don't fall for such marketing. Whatever they have claimed makes actual sense. Airflow inprove hogi toh localised heating nahi hoga. PUF ke jagah EVA ka grid banaya hai which will give better support and won't sink. Also, jab relative se accha word of mouth feedback suna toh ye lena hi tha.

But you are right about one thing. Aaj kal sirf marketing ke jhase me aake can't get a clear picture about the product. That is when review / feedback come in handy.

i believe...the more "tech" you infuse in a product...the more complex and useless it gets....i mean...ek gadda....usme "tech" daalke 10x price pe bechoge toh...i'm not gonna fall for this...yaar gadde toh chodo....sirf sone ke liye istemal hota hai...usme airflow...localised heating....aur pata nai kya kya....i mean like i should also start converting some basic product and add "techy jargons"...and start selling at 10x price....fir aapke ke jaise scientist hi aayenge sabse pehle kharidne...no offence...

personal exp......i know how these startups work...i know their conversations with the pr/mktg agencies for creating ad campaings/mktg materials etc...as far as backache is concerned....i shouldn't advice a "scientist"...but it's very very simple....always maintain a good posture in whatever you do....no backaches....do light exercises/yoga...they're available for free on YT....if you have money to throw...who am i to stop you....cb you can use elsewhere also....

Agar koi startup bura hai then call them out. Lekin sab bure kaise ho sakte ? I consult industries on matters of R & D and IPR of polymers. This product is really good. Mai mahine me 50k ka petrol kharch karta hun. Mujhe accha gadda toh chaiye hi. Also you are right about posture. It is a very common problem but not in my case.

Being someone who just had to return sleepyhead's hybrid latex(due to back issues), and have used memory foam mattress prior to that.. I can honestly say ki airflow, localised heating, edge support, matress foam layers, stiffness when you sit on bed(for people doing wfh/hybrid) etc are quite important things to consider.. I know today's these companies add techy jargons to make them more attractive but one should be able to figure out certain important terms(you can call them tech or whatever) to ensure it suites your need. Nothing wrong to buy a expensive mattress(if one can) considering you are going to sleep everyday for 7-8 hours for next 10 years on it. Example: you visit wakefit duo plus(18k) and compare it with the sleep company ortho pro(26k) or Springwell Gloria Elite and anyone can realise ki har gadda bas gadda ni hota 😂😂

Even I had a budget 16-20k which increased to 28k due to the form layers used, feel, and overall stiffness(to ignore back issues) of the mattress. Eventually I thought ki ek din swiggy krte h toh 500-1000 ka bill aa jata h toh its fine to spends once on good mattress that makes you happy considering long term use 🙂

44k ka gadda...log sahi mein amir hai bhai....20 saal pehle aisa "technology" wala gadda koi bechta toh bolte...kya chu bana raha hai...i guess abhi easily bech sakte ho...kyunki...log hi "einstein" ban rahe hai...
44 hazar me me gadda , Ac aur sath me koi sone wala bhi miljayega .

Naaptol pe ek ad aata tha Mop ka bina hath lagaye pocha lagaye around 4999 ab wo same mop 300-400 me milta h .

I am also planning to buy..
@pgarg24 : what did u finally settle in for?
Finally went with the sleep company ortho pro model.. as buying for new house and that mattress just made me happy for some reason.. texture, color, firmness + a little of softness, edge support + 100 day trial.. these factors helped too..

2 piece of 78x36 (6 inches) - 14850 was price on website..(ussally they give 40% so price is 16k but every 10 days for something they give 45% off bringing mrp to 14850/-.. so you can buy then)
Searched and Applied tscguru coupon code, got 700rs off on both order(this is not shown on their website, found online but can be applied manually on all orders)
Then paid with UPI(as for icici cc offer requires min transaction of 15k.. upi requires 10k) got 500off..
Paid with tataneu infinity using UPI on cc, got 1.5% there too..

So total 13650(paid from card) and will get around 200 as neucoins for one order..

Hey everyone, I’m planning to buy a king-size (78x72) 6-inch mattress and currently leaning towards The Sleep Company’s Smart Grid Ortho Pro.

Here’s what I’m looking for:

Firmness (8/10) – Tried medium-firm options like Sleepycat Original and Wakefit Ortho, but didn’t like the softness when sitting.
Airflow – Memory foam retains heat (felt it with Springwell Gloria Elite), so I prefer something cooler. I tried a couple of latex one's but mostly are costly(above 30k)
Edge Support – A strong edge with piping so that there's support incase we sit on edge or turn towards edge of the Mattress

I also checked out Wakefit Duo Plus (budget-friendly but lacks edge support) and Springwell Gloria (firmer due to bonded foam but didn’t like the overall feel).
Also tried Sleepwell Durafirm Classic(too stiff), and Durafirm Premium(this one also I liked).

Would love to hear from anyone who has actually used The Sleep Company’s Smart Grid Ortho Pro. Specially review after 1 year ussage. Amazon link: https://amzn.in/d/g0Mxg4y

For me, Its currently between(in decreasing cost):
Sleep Company Smart grid Ortho Pro (around 27k)
Sleepwell Durafirm Premium(around 24.5k)
Springwell Gloria (around 23k)
Wakefit Duo Plus (around 16k)
Anyone is welcome to share their experience too 🙂

Edit: I have tried all of these in stores and writing this post after experiencing the real feel of mattress.
I have been using Sleep Company for the last 6 months or so, it’s fantastic. My opinion - go for this, I choose, 6” medium firmness, custom size.

as long as we're talking beds/mattress...any1 knows what size is a queen bed and a king bed....when we talk of size...is it the mattress size only or the size dimensions of the complete bed (incl frame of bed)?

Its only the mattress size.. when u measure your bed, u have to measure the insides of the bed frame where your mattress will sit in the bed.
King have standards like 78x72, 72x72 etc..
Similarly queen have 72x60 etc.. you can see standard size on any mattress website.. all have standard size shown.
