The same thing happened with me as well once, but after logging out and downloading the app in other phone, I was able to make the payment using same card and same account.
Even for me i have never used the same card in the same phone even after creating a new account.. Used my Magnus twice on 2 different devices and it worked. Maybe they are able to know on a device level that birthday offer has been used. Once enough people test this theory then only we can know for sure..
So whenever you are reserving a table through ED and want to avail there listed offer then that discount shall come auto applied in the bill generated by the restaurant and after that you have to pay that amount through ED app only where you can again avail bank discounts if any applicable for you.

I would like to inform you in advance that this process is something which was pointed out by @MilesMax in public forum, but I somehow managed to get insight about this loophole being used unlimited times.
Full Process to activate the birthday coupon even if it's not your birthday month:
1. log in to EazyDiner website on one tab
2. Go to https://www.eazydiner.com/axisbank
3. Select the following button Know more link.
4. Enter the first 6 digits of your card number and click show restaurants
5. Randomly book any restaurant for a future date
6. Open your eazydiner app or website and cancel this booking
There you go! Axis birthday voucher is now activated for you.
You can test by randomly selecting any restaurant which has PayEasy option, click on Pay Bill and just enter some number like Rs. 6000. Try to apply the voucher that is listed for you (scroll down a lot). It would be AXBDAYXXXX.
If you see 50% off happening then the coupon is successfully activated for you.
Remember if you have multiple Axis HNI cards like Magnus, Vistara Infinite, Reserve etc. You can only use this once per eazydiner account.
Now as you've understood the steps to follow. The loophole lies in Eazydiner verifying the offer applicability.
What Eazydiner does is that, it directly asks you for card first 6 digits, and applies the offer.
This means, it does not blacklist the card which has already used the offer, which it should have. So, ideally anyone can create x no. of Eazydiner accounts and use this offer x times.
The only need to create Eazydiner account is a unique mobile number. Which I am sure, anyone would arrange easily to save 3k per booking.
It's an amazing offer for someone who dines out a lot, don't forget to juice it while it lasts!
