Lucknow professor duped of Rs 2.81 crore after 7-day 'digital arrest' by cyber thugs

Its sad how these educated people are falling for these scams, what is the education worth if they cannot figure out its a obvious scam? No life skills?
It's easy to say being Genz, we have become friendly with tech, because our generation is privileged to have it from the birth.

But not their, degree doesn't play any role to it. Financial, Social and Technical awareness do.

No doubt, even though she is highly educated, she has fallen in the trap so easily. (Watched her interview) 😐

2.8 cr was lying as it is... in her bank account ?

Lots of questions:

If she didn't have anything to hide, why did she get so scared? And transferring 2.8 crores?! As ransom money, to shut people up?!

Also it appears that there is possibly a lot more where it came from. How else could someone be scared into doing such a thing if she faced certain financial ruin?!

And it had nothing to do with being tech-savvy. Would still be stupid for Gen A.

No sympathies!

Senior citizens who were employed has no option of other than FD. They get monthly intrest from FD with which they live. Irrespective of small or large amount, FD is the simplest option
