Mac to Windows laptop migration - looking for suggestions

Hello,
My office laptop is getting refreshed and I am getting a windows laptop now.
Earlier I used to use a Mac, but during this refresh, they are giving a windows one.
This is the specification. Is it overall good?

Data Transfer:
What all things to take care while migrating or data transfer?

Accessories:
Keyboard and Mouse: I have ordered a wired keyboard and mouse set (Logitech).
Webcam: I may need to buy a webcam if the inbuilt camera is not good. Any suggestions for that?
Docking Station: Is a docking station required? What is the purpose of that?
External Monitor: https://www.amazon.in/dp/B0CRNPD5P8 -- Is this model good?

Thanks in advance.

Keep in mind that wired keyboard and mouse will occupy 2 USB ports. You may need to use an appropriate USB hub.

If you get a Samsung, and have a Samsung phone, you can use that as an webcam.

Depends on whether your office is cloud based/e-office and laptop will only be access point or majority of the work would be on the laptop only.
For cloud based/browser based/e-office even a chromebook may be more than sufficient.

That depends on what you are looking for in a monitor. If you want to adjust height, it isn't available by default in that monitor.

Monitors are usually for really long term use. They can come for decades (I use Dell U series over a decade - my fourth monitor overall). Please choose the one that you can afford the most. Dell P, Pro and U series offer some of the best monitors for coding. If your purpose is different than coding, you may choose something else.

If you ever go back to mac, you may want to make sure mac resolution / scaling works correctly with the monitors. Some monitors have issues with setting the correct resolution or scaling when used with a macOS.

Also, if you type a lot (ex: coder), you may choose a mechanical keyboard. I never had luck with a keyboard. Had to choose a buy a new keyboard every couple of years or so. Currently, using keychron k8 pro that started having some issue after 18 months of purchase. Not happy with the customer care. Searching for another brand now.

Sorry to hear. Hope you are recovering well from this setback.

Using LG C2X 48 inch as monitor

This version of Thinkpad would be more than sufficient for office tasks. You can always buy a dock if you need extra ports.
But monitor choice is bad, 27" on 2k will give you pixelation, buy 21-24" on 2k or 27" on 4k (remember your display will outlast your laptop)

Do you need to show code/board on webcam? If not you don't need webcam

The insult was purely unnecessary. I misunderstood the term peripherals.

And what are you trying to prove by using such an obscure term anyways.
He might be a gamer! Even Microsoft gives choice of i5/i7 Hp elite book or Thinkpad.
Most of the codes now a days are run on company server, so if company gives Chromebook then also you can code 😀
PS: 100% agree with @panchabhut, read his comment after replying

Yeah yeah, Ik. You still need decent specs tho. Day to day long workload performance matters.

I think i should be more clear so that people don't guess what I need.
I am a programmer but not full time coding. Maybe like 10 hours a week coding. Not more than that.
The laptop is given by company so I cannot change its specs.
Only thing I can control is the accessories - keyboard mouse monitor webcam

I have ordered a Logitech wired keyboard. That's again under company expense. If I don't like it I can return and order another model. (As many number of times, no limit)

I already have a USB hub so no problem in multiple USB things being connected.

I have shortlisted the MSI external monitor link shared above. For the time being I may purchase that.
But I got a better suggestion in this thread. Will consider that also

I dont know what is the purpose of docking station. Haven't used it earlier. So I think I won't need it in future as well.

For now we can close this discussion. If I need some specific information I will ask.
Thanks for the suggestions.
