Anyone has had issues with Mastercard tap to pay? my old Magnus (VISA) worked very well with tap to pay in a couple of restaurants I frequent. However, the new M4B (mastercard) hasn't worked for tap to pay on both these places - chip insert works however.

Wondering if my card has it's antenna broken or if it could be a mastercard issue..
Tap to pay method for payment doesn't work with Axis credit cards issued on Mastercard platform. But Axis credit cards issued on Visa platform doesn't have this problem. Infact you cannot add Axis Magnus( MasterCard) on gpay for payment to merchant at all , even for normal merchant payment. Had raised the issue a couple of weeks back with the premium support but no resolution yet. Paytm tap to pay page ( for adding credit card to use this facility) also clearly mentions the list of cards supported for adding this facility and it doesn't include Axis MasterCard credit or debit cards. Please write to PE also so that they will take action when more users complain.

Oh okay, I'll raise a flag then too.. I knew we couldn't add it to GPAY.. But surprised that card contactless doesn't work too..

Does contactless not work using the card in your case too?

I haven't tried contact less payment yet on the new Burgundy magnus But it should work if it is enabled in the credit card settings control panel. Otherwise get the card replaced.

Tap to pay method uses NFC from the smart phone after storing card details by tapping on the pos ( without needing the physical card for payment ) and hence these two payment methods are two different ways of paying and are not same technically , in my view. But I could be wrong .

Yes to make BM balance in multiples of 100 , you need to earn additional 204 points.
For which you need to spend rs 3400 ( plus additional upto rs 199). And don't spend anything else using the new BM card for a week , as sometimes the new points get credited at random timelines.

You are one of the few ones to fully understand my explanation and detailed procedure correctly 😂, and I hope you meet with success and let us know the results in a week if you are able to able to make BM balance zero again and transfer the stuck points in normal ER bucket .
So I actually had one more transaction of 39990 (earns me 2388 MB points), so I needed to earn 216 MB more points to make it exactly 5100 MB points which I did a trx according to that on Gyftr and now got it. Redeemed 5100 points, but as soon as I did, 5004 points were added to my Magnus Burgundy bucket now from Edge Rewards Points

So indirectly making it exactly 5100 doesn't make sense, but yes you need MB points bucket in a higher number to be able to redeem and each time you redeem you will get a 100 multiple less... According to this, I can redeem few more times, 5000 this time, then 4900 points next time and soon my ER will mostly be used...

See getting 5000 now:

Does your Android phone allow you to select Samsung pay as the default app to use for Tap to pay , in the phone settings ? Also does your magnus card ( MC) work using contactless payment ?

I don't know about default app. The only times I paid using my phone was by manually opening Samsung Pay, selecting the CC from the list and then click on Pay button and then the app showed me to tap the card on a NFC machine

Yes it is a peculiar problem , as reported by many. , to have the MB bucket automatically filled from the normal ER points , of an equivalent amount just transferred to make it nil balance ! But this replenish will happen only when you make the MB balance zero , I think , and not when there is still some left over points .

Supposing you leave the 4 points balance in MB bucket , will you still get 4900 additional points transferred from ER bucket to MB bucket automatically ? I think you should transfer only in multiples of 300 so that balance points if any left behind is in multiples of 12 , unless transfer is going to make the MB zero like when you transferred 5100. But transferring 5000 now ( which is not multiple of 300) will leave you with 4 points and to make it to 300 or multiples of 100 will be a tedious task again.

I have 7092 MB points now. Have an upcoming transfer coming up for 7200 points once I do one transaction of 1800 rupees to take the MB balance at 7200. Will update on how that goes. It is with multiple of 300 so lets see how it goes

Also it depends on how many points are left behind in normal ER bucket. If it is less than certain figure ( like less than transferred points ?) , then it will not get automatically pushed to the MB bucket , I feel. Anyway let us know the results with the screenshot 😂

ER bucket is sufficiently loaded. It also includes last Magnus milestone of 25K points which I got after separation kicked in. I was only waiting till now as I was not sure of where to transfer. Will be be pushing to Accor

No not actually, its always will be going more less and doesn't get to less than 300 unless you are finished with your ERs

Did anyone receive AEPs for insurance payments? This is a grey area and Axis helpline has not been able to give a clear answer.
Only if u type that in search box instead of here.
