I just got magnus in April. Have hit all 3 months milestone - April, May and June. But I guess I'll only receive the April one before the deval.

So I'll have roughly 60k points. I don't find it much valuable to receive hotel stays for points, since it reduces my choice and hotels are subjective (very cheap to very expensive). I think flights make more sense, given economy flights are more commoditised.

Given this, which program would be the best to withdraw my points to? No travel plans yet, ideally wanted to use these points for flight tickets for Europe. From what I could research, turkish airlines seemed like the cheapest for flights. But would it be a good choice to withdraw to turkish miles without a solid travel plan?

Would really appreciate any suggestions/help :)
Based on what I heard/read, Turkish airlines does not offer a good service. Many flights get over booked and they cancel tickets without warning. I would aviod Turkish airlines. But since Turkish airlines is part of Star alliance, you maybe able to use the same miles to book other airlines.

If it was me, I would transfer to Singapore airlines if I plan to travel to East and to United airlines if I plan to travel west.
If not decided, I would transfer to Marriott and club it with my exisiting memebership points.

Accor is another option. You can later transfer to other airmiles if needed. I have not explored this option yet.

For flights, Club Vistara could be a good choice, it will give you domestic as well as international flight options.

Accor is the best option for hotels because of the variety of hotels they have across all the prices ranges.

Anything further on this? Anybody else faced such issues?

TK is more than fine. Slightly high YQ... but fantastically low miles requirements. Good service, good food, good raki. Worst possible flight timing out of India. Average customer support.

They're no better or worse than other airlines with overbookings, connections, lost luggage etc. Plus you're generally well protected by EU261.

Problem with TK though is that they have a hard 3 year miles expiry.

YQ? I’ve transferred my ER to Turkish only for my future travel plans. 🤞
But the flights are operated by AI and others. Considering this, overbooking/cancellation will be in the hands of Air India?

YQ = fuel charges. Basically most of the heavy cash component that you pay for with an award ticket.

Yes. Obviously. TK cannot overbook or cancel or lose pax luggage for an AI flight.
