Major devaluation by Marriott with points earning

Members will now earn only 5 points per $1 spent (down from 10 points) at Courtyard, Four Points, SpringHill, Fairfield, AC, Aloft, and Moxy.

Seems like it was an error which has been rectified and the 7 sub brands in questions are now moved back to the base earning of 10 points / USD. Hopefully this indeed was an error and is not something that would be seen later this year (or in foreseeable future).

Definitely wasn't an error. They moved all 'select' brands in 5 points per $ category and I absolutely see this change happening soon.
