Marriott Bonvoy CC renewal

Hey Guys,

A quick help! I have HDFC Marriott Bonvoy renewal this month (3K). I have a free night certificate which I have not used yet and will expire on 25th Jan 2024.

I am planning to close the card as I don't want to pay Annual fee. Will it cancel the Free night certificate as well?

No they won't. But you can't use the free night award for bookings with check-in date after 25th January anyways. Better use it soon.

I called HDFC to cancel my card 😀 She started explaining how I can use the free night reward which will be given after the renewal fees is paid! I got convinced and paid the renewal fee 😀

I too renewed my card for next year. The joining award night was unused and they credited this year's night superfast. Redeemed both nights just before the expiry of first one at the Courtyard Aravali Resort 😊
