Missed making CC payment for AmEx

I missed making a payment of Rs. 327 for my AmEx card and didn't realize it until 28 May. The statement was generated on 28 April, and the due date was 20 May. It was only after I got an email from AmEx I realized that I missed making the payment. I made a payment of 25k on 28 April, but missed this transaction.

I called Amex and they reversed late payment fee and 50% of the finance charges, so I ended up paying some Rs. 420 for failing to pay Rs. 327. I made the payment immediately on 28 May. Is there a way I can ask AmEx to not report this to Cibil? I tried asking AmEx customer care folks, but they kept saying that everything is automated and they can't do anything. It's a honest mistake, but a mistake on my end nevertheless.
Is there an email ID of AmEx I can write to?

Bro same happened to me nd they reveresed late charges but they also told me it will not be reflected in cibil cz of my request but unfortunately it got reported nd cibil went down from 778 to 738 in one blow ... Nd now after 10 mnths it risen to 758. In my entire cc history this is the only one missed payment 😭
I think cibil reporting is an automated process. Actually, cibil should have some checks in place to ensure that the score doesn't get impacted, if the amount is less than 500/-

It will remain as missed payment in cibil forever... For ie. 324/325 payments... 99 percent payment on time...

Always make 5-10 rs more payment to every bill to avoid cibil hit...

If you've paid within one month, they might haven't reported to cibil...

Missed rbl, sbi, icici payment by 7-10 days... And paid asap on late days of 10th... ( within month) They ve never reported...

But as per your billing you ve paid 25000 n missed 325 rs... So as per scenario you ve already paid minimum amount due... They should not have reported to cibil as missed payment...
I guess it remains only till 36 months
After that it vanishes

Missed payments never vanish from the cibil report. I think they ignore very old miss payments for the purpose of calculating the score but it never goes away from your history. I know a person who was late in making a cc bill payment in 2006 and it's still showing on his report. It varies how different apps show your cibil report summary. While checking his cibil score on Gpay it shows 401/402 (99.75%) payments on time but on Onescore app it shows 100% payments on time. However, on his official cibil report, that missed payment has always been there. That cc account was closed more than 15 years ago and the funny thing is that payment was late by just 1 day. According to the present RBI guidelines, banks can not even report that payment as late 🤣. It never crossed my mind before but I think I will ask him to write to the bank and see if they can remove that late payment marker in accordance with the current guidelines, may not work but worth trying. So the moral of the story is NEVER EVER EVER MISS A CC PAYMENT. It will always be on your report and haunt you.
