Hello TechnoFino Community,

I wanted to share my recent experience of applying for a Bank of Baroda (BOB) Credit Card using the card-to-card method. Here's how it went:

I visited my local BOB branch and contacted the credit card representative. I informed him that I wanted to apply for a BOB credit card through the card-to-card method.
The representative asked me about my existing credit card details. I mentioned that I have an Axis Bank Airtel Credit Card with a credit limit of ₹1.6 lakhs and a history of 2.5 years. He agreed to proceed with the application and requested the following documents:
  • 3 months of credit card statements
  • Aadhaar card
  • PAN card
  • A passport-size photo
  • A photo of my Airtel Axis Bank Credit Card
The representative filled in all the details on their application portal. After completing the initial formalities, he asked me which card I wanted.

The portal displayed several card categories:
  1. Core Cards: Includes Eterna, Premier, Select, and Easy
  2. Fuel Cards: Includes HPCL
  3. Super Saver Cards: Includes Snapdeal
  4. Travel Cards: Includes IRCTC
I opted for the Eterna (Core Card), but the portal then showed the eligibility results for my application:
  • Select: Chargeable
  • Premier: Chargeable
  • Easy: Lifetime Free (LTF)
Since I already have cards with higher rewards and value, I chose the Easy LTF Card. My primary reason for applying for a BOB credit card was to avail the fantastic offers that BOB cards provide these days, such as 10-15% instant discounts.

After my application was processed, I received a call from BOB after 7-8 days to cross-verify all the details I had submitted at the time of application. Once the verification was complete, I received a message another 7-8 days later informing me that my card had been approved (limit 50K).
