NEGOTIATING, Card upgrade or limit enhancement

I am hard negotiating with many banks for card upgrade.

But some banks are insisting on increasing my credit limit, should I agree to increase the limit or insist on upgrading the card?

What do your people's opinion say?

Increase in limit followed by card upgrade is the norm of the industry..
Put it in other words:
Higher limits generally leads to higher grade cards
