SBI Card New to Rupay variant, Fuel and add-on credit cards

CyberPsych

TF Ace
I have applied for BPCL (normal) SBI card and got approval. The application and SBI card app confirmed it is Rupay Platinum Variant. I was told I am eligible for free add-on card so I agreed and now I can see both cards in my SBI card app. Now I have few doubts:

1) Since it is rupay variant, if I link it to UPI and pay for fuel by scanning QR code available at BPCL outlets, will I get the said features? (13x reward points for each ₹100). Many lazy a*s petrol pump employees lie that POS machine is not working, network issue so cash or UPI bla bla..
2) My main card and add-on cards have different numbers, so does this make me eligible to use both cards for instant during Amazon offers? (Their t&c is offer applicable once per card during the offer period).
3) The SBI employee said I am eligible for 1.53L and if apply for add-on card while applying for main card, my credit limit will become 3L something. Is this marketing gimmick to make me buy add-on card or true? (Anyway, since it is free, I got it for my Dad to use at petrol pumps while I use main card)

1. You should try yourself.
2. Yes
3. Maybe

My Simply save card with 2.46L limit was closed 4 months back, anyway I can ask bank and get that limit back or at least close to it?

You can try this method, might work (Ignore the heading but check the post).

Tried payment through SBI BPCL Rupay CC linked to UPI and paid ₹309.63 in the same bunk where I used to get reward points. For ₹309.63 payment, they charged me ₹321.43 🫡. I don't know the calculation behind this amount. No surcharge waiver and reward points.

Before this, I have filled petrol for ₹200 using the card physically. SBI charged me ₹202.36, got ₹2.00 as surcharge waiver and 26 reward points as I should.

Then surcharge waiver isn't working on UPI mode.

You should escalate it to Nodal 🤷👀.

SBI customer care says "As per policy update, surcharge waiver is not applicable for fuel transactions through UPI". Is this true? What is the policy update? @Abhishek012 @D₹V

Or should I escalate to Nodal Officer? If it is policy update, I think Nodal Officer will say the same.
