SBI Card New to Rupay variant, Fuel and add-on credit cards

I have applied for BPCL (normal) SBI card and got approval. The application and SBI card app confirmed it is Rupay Platinum Variant. I was told I am eligible for free add-on card so I agreed and now I can see both cards in my SBI card app. Now I have few doubts:

1) Since it is rupay variant, if I link it to UPI and pay for fuel by scanning QR code available at BPCL outlets, will I get the said features? (13x reward points for each ₹100). Many lazy a*s petrol pump employees lie that POS machine is not working, network issue so cash or UPI bla bla..
2) My main card and add-on cards have different numbers, so does this make me eligible to use both cards for instant during Amazon offers? (Their t&c is offer applicable once per card during the offer period).
3) The SBI employee said I am eligible for 1.53L and if apply for add-on card while applying for main card, my credit limit will become 3L something. Is this marketing gimmick to make me buy add-on card or true? (Anyway, since it is free, I got it for my Dad to use at petrol pumps while I use main card)

On BPCL CC I do not get fuel surcharge waiver on petrol pumps other than BPCL.

SBI customer care says "As per policy update, surcharge waiver is not applicable for fuel transactions through UPI". Is this true? What is the policy update? @Abhishek012 @D₹V

Or should I escalate to Nodal Officer? If it is policy update, I think Nodal Officer will say the same.

SBI credit card software is not updated yet. You can try with Nodal Officer.

Other RuPay credit card issuer banks give wavier on fuel surcharge via UPI.

Like i said many times, we need to wait 2 years. RuPay CC link UPI is currently on beta testing mode.

99% bank IT team dnt know which feature they need to integrate on Credit on UPI.

90% things will automatically solved within next 2 or maybe 3 years.

Okay, I will try escalating to Nodal Officer. Should I ask for reward points too? Is that applicable for UPI transaction?

I use BPCL card only when I am in BPCL bunks, otherwise I directly pay from bank/debit card.

Yes, other banks also give Fuel Rewards point through UPI spend.

For example - Axis IOCL RuPay CC give fuel surcharge wavier + 4% fuel Reward points through UPI spend.

Contact Nodal Officer, Hope they will manually credit your reward points and surcharge wavier.

It all depends on the bank's credit card software. If bank's credit card software is not updated to support UPI surcharge wavier and fuel reward points then the only option we have is to wait and we also need to educate them so that they can do all this integration ASAP.
