New Traffic challan SCAM!!! Beware!!!

Just got challan msg stating only my car registration number looked suspicious without any valid challan no. Cross checked on official govt. site and no challan was issued. The WhatsApp msg also attached a dubious app apk and asked to download and install to check. My car has never been to Karad Maharashtra and the mobile number belonged to some Sk Khaiwal in Punjab and seem to be a scammer. Beware guys, don't pay or check personal details in shady apps. Also the incoming calls were blocked on this number : +91 9915824874 scammer Sk Khaiwal
His number is a business account with name :
VAHAN PARIVAHAN Karad Maharashtra
He is a SCAMMER.
The fact that these scammers are stealing car registration number with attached mobile number is alarming. Screenshots attached below. Be safe!

There is an app from Maharashtra Police called MahaTrafficApp. Download the same and register all the vehicles there. The app also shows the fine if there is any traffic violation, along with SMS. You can pay the fine online through this app.
All other bogus challan SMS, bogus Electricity connection cut messages, and SBI account closure if KYC is not done immediately can be safely deleted. 🙂
