Not sure about MCC but the merchant name is now Retail CC which I don't think was the case 2-3 days ago.

That could always be the reason. Unfortunately, IDFC does not tell us MCC on the debit card transactions.

They do, connect with the First Rewards team, and they tell you the MCC, not instantly but few days after the transaction.
