No Joining fees on Amex Platinum Travel Card

Hi All,
I recently got an upgrade offer on my MRCC card to Platinum Travel card. My MRCC card is just 5 months old & its FYF as applied through referral link. I opted for the upgrade & was surprised to see no joining fees added in my 1st month statement! Also, I have spent 40k and was expecting the 10k bonus points for spending 30k within the first 90 days of card issuance, but no points have been credited.
Can someone help me understand if it’s a FYF card? Will I get the 10k joining points?

Why not call customer care and get all your doubts cleared? Amex customer support is normally heads and shoulders above the rest. So, I quick call should give you the best information.

Yes I agree, I m bit hesitant to call thinking they might charge fees if I remind them, lol 😂

Joining bonus is applicable only when we pay fee
Just use chat option in amex app they r very prompt

OFF TOPIC: Tata Neu Card has been overly generous on me. They offered Tata Neu Infinity Card as FYF, then subsequently credited 1499 Neu Points as joining bonus to my account. Generous TATAs

Correction: They reversed it in 4th statement.

HOW is that possible
i rthought joining bonus is only receivable on paying fees.
maybe my cards got processed as ltf maybe thats why i didnt get your offer

Check the screenshot. May be they made a mistake, and they will adjust. I think I need to verify my monthly statement for adjustment. But I am too lazy for that.

Check if they have charges you a joining fee of 1499+gst in the first month
because this is the first time i am hearing that a card is offered fyf and given joining bonus

Looks like paid card they issued but at the time of charging you they turned to ltf
If this is the case then they won’t reverse
