NOC for the canceled credit card

What if they open that account next month automatically?

What if after 5 years, suddenly they open account and say you disabled card not blocked, our annual charges still exist for disabled cards and late fee etc. charged?

It's always good practice to get the NOC from the bank for any credit product be it loans/cards (unless if one has the capabillity to deal scenarios like above), it can be used as proof that said credit closed and received confirmation from them.
In last 8 years, I closed 13 cards, but no account opened again . And the same present in Cibil Report. Once closed it closed. If it shows closed in Cibil they can't open the same credit account no again, need to be open as a new account no. And some banks are not issuing the same card varient if closed, like if you close your ICICI MMT credit card, they are not issuing the same card in future.

No bank can give NOC for credit card closure. They don't have any objection to apply other cards, they simply drop a mail and msg for Closed account.

Never ever, don't disable any card particularly credit cards , Call customer care and request for card closure. It's a good practice.

I said what if it went wrong scenarios (your 8 years and 13 cards has no issues but I personally see issues along with community posts).

Actually it is example and in here card actually closed but bank can say 'disabled' - if one don't have NOC, how can they say 'I closed the card'?

every bank provides: https://www.technofino.in/community/threads/noc-for-the-canceled-credit-card.9809/post-156853

Some posts in the community where banks did something to their closed cards:

apply second screenshot in this post consider possibility of what if balance went to negative: https://www.technofino.in/community...wards-debited-for-instant-discount-txns.9057/
(SBI said, even with NOC there might be future charges, and you're saying it is not even required)
