Issue Resolved Not getting refund from UNI SBM Bank Nxwave.

The highlighted issue has been resolved by the bank/financial institution.

I made an excess payment of 5k by mistake last month, towards sbm bank uni nxwave cc.

Contacted uni customer care over email and gave them the documents on 26th March. Since then I am waiting for the refund. Called them few times, but no resolution. They are saying that they have forwarded it to SBM Bank and they cannot commit any timeline for this.

How to escalate this matter? What's the solution to this?

Have you tried enquiring via voice call directly? If not give it a try.
Yes called many times, but every time customer care executives are saying "we have forwarded it to our banking partner (sbm bank) and apologize for the delay. Can't give any timeline but you'll hopefully receive it in 24-48 hours".

That 24-48 hours never completes.

Why customer care? Call NO desk of SBM.
 
Sbm bank clearly says not possible if you want the money try using wallet option in 3rd party load it by selecting debit card. Or use the card
What did I say. (This is your answer). If you really really wanted refund then your only option is visit SBM bank branch physically with adhar, pan and cheque tell the credit account number and sigin the relevant documents they provide and and wait for 3 working days and it will be done.

Today I have received the refund after numerous escalations. Ultimately it's the grievance officer at UNI who came to rescue. SBM Bank's customer care and escalation matrix is virtually nonexistent. They just simply close service requests without even replying. Some relief after a long time.

Did you email SBM Bank nodal officer?
 
Even I haven't received my 365rs refund .. and its been 16days. They told within 3-5days it will be credited back to the bank account no I have given.

So I have to flight with the nodal again to get the 365rs back.🥺🥺🥺

Worst thing about sbm is that they don't reply with SR number easily and nodal.officer@sbmbank.co.in never replies to any email.

Just now I send a mail. Lets see the refund js pending from 45days I saw now.
Also send email to customer care (not Nodal Officer) of SBM asking for refund. Make a note of the SR number. They'll not resolve the problem but this SR number will come handy if you need to escalate the matter with RBI ombudsman.
