Now Pay HDFC loan via other bank DC, Payzapp and UPI

I don't open the hdfc portal frequently but saw today that now you can pay your loan using payment methods like other bank DC, wallets (only payzapp as of now) and UPI. This opens the door to lot of possibilities. You can also customize the amount you want to pay.


Update - only Rupay DC allowed as of now for paying via Debit card option.

Update - read threadmarks about how this is a tricky method of paying EMI and might not work as of now.

Infact loss to some extent

Loss hi loss h. Atleast VDC se to pay kar paate to accha hota.

Amazon pay par HDFC Retail Assets naam se loan repayment ka aata hai, par usme LAN daalo to not found batata hai.

Some update:
1. Loan taken from paytm app can be paid in paytm app to get rewards. Payment should be done atleast one day before. Details available in app itself.

2. Tata capital has started sending sms to pay emi early at their payment page only. possibly 6012 mcc. So works as of now.

3. I also have AU Personal loan, but didn't found any option yet.

4. SBI used to give option for their emi through unipay. Not tested.

@2025 I had also complained but they shot me down and said the amount will keep on getting adjusted for the next month onwards. Earlier I was paying the EMI amount for the current month and now I am paying my EMI amount in advance for a month. And I got this same response no matter how many different customer care guys I talked to about this.

Mujhe 1 working day mai refund mila tha.

Loan from Union bank of india can also be paid from Unipay and the EMI amount gets adjusted accordingly.
It feels like only HDFC is lagging in this.
The loan repayment option on Amazon for borrower 'HDFC Retails Assets' was not onboard earlier but it has now. So some work still seem to be happening for HDFC loans. Hoping one day I will be able to pay through other channels.
