Hi Guys,

On January 28th, I booked an Ola Electric S1 Pro Gen 2 for ₹1,50,500. Ola offers the option to split the payment, and they were providing a 5% instant discount (up to ₹5,000) on selected credit card EMIs. To maximize the discount, I decided to proceed with a split payment using two IDFC credit cards, which allowed me to avail a total discount of ₹7,500.

The booking was confirmed, and I was excited about my first electric scooter experience.

However, on January 31st, Ola launched the new Ola S1 Pro Gen 3 model. Even the showroom staff were unaware of this launch when I booked on January 28th. Due to this, Ola heavily discounted the older Gen 2 model by around ₹20,000 and also introduced an introductory offer for the new Gen 3 model.

I wanted to modify my booking to the newer version, but the app did not allow me to do so. As a result, I initiated a cancellation request in the app on January 31st, intending to rebook either the discounted Gen 2 or the new Gen 3 model once the cancellation was processed.

Since then, I have tried reaching out to Ola through every possible channel, showroom support, email support, telephone support, and even Twitter support, but no one has been able to assist me.

As of now, the cancellation has not been processed, and the order remains on hold in the Ola app. Meanwhile, the EMIs have already been converted on both IDFC credit cards.

In this situation, what can be done to resolve this issue?

Now just imagine your experience after sales & service.
Exactly, I am reconsidering my purchase with Ola. Planning to go with petrol scooter this time. May be next time after few years will try EV.
Other EVs doesn’t have much range options, I used to take long rides sometime, which may give anxiety.

Cha rge back!
Called IDFC customer support twice.
First attempt, after hearing all the story from A-Z, she cut the call intentionally.
Second attempt, the support guy told to contact the merchant first. Stating without them refunding IDFC can’t do anything from their side.

We already adviced you for going with tvs instead of OLA, Still you jumped into mud and for idfc, you can search i already had posted if there retention team isn't working properly how anyone trust if some mishappening occurs, we will have to pay no option left, so closed idfc card too.

Atleast with hdfc i found even for dispute I got calls & emails 3 times for submitting documents of merchant.

And ofcourse low variant card vs superpremium variant cards difference can also be seen in this type of situation.

If you have Superpremium cards there customer care is also active for your complaints and if you have starter variants they just put your call or convince anything.

So better keep 2-3 banks cards on which you have trust and have good experience, cashback and lucrative offers harms alot in these situation.

May god give you healthy sleep.

Yes. My bad! Few of my friends have Ola. They told me they never had any issues. And the offer they provided while I purchase ( free 8 year battery warranty) made me jump.

Despite all the online reviews and loads of complaints in twitter, How people are still buying OLA scooters yar!!!!

My frd bought Ola S1, within a week got a breakdown, sent it to service center on his own as they refused to visit. They took 3 weeks to tell motor problem, claimed full insurance, after a month told battery also problem and took 2 months to give vehicle back.

A electric vehicle mainly consists of 2 parts only motor, battery. If both can spoiled in just a week, is that even a good product??

Seriously I don't understand why people are behind ola. It's such a stupid company with stupid leadership with no value for customer.

It's not too late, go for Hero or Ather for electric two wheeler.

Edited my post before your post for these lucrative offers
So after a long fight, today got a message from Ola that my refund is initiated and will be refunded in 4 working days.
So went straight to IDFC app and cancelled the EMI. But they charged foreclosure fee 3% + 18% GST.
Which is around 5k.
They already charged EMI processing fee around 1.5k
So my loss is around 6.5k
Is it possible to claim it back? If anyone know can you tell me the process

It will be only done when it will be cancelled by customer care after receiving full amount from merchant.

But as you did the cancellation part you may have to suffer the loss or try requesting after the refund appears into your account.

Maximum till retention team you can go for or have to go till pno then maybe it will be reversed.

I cancelled it myself because the email I got after the successful EMI authorisation told that EMI will not be cancelled automatically.

Please never trust ola...I try to use uber and rapido even for a simple cab ride whenever possible as I have seen ola cheating me by increasing prices 4-5x post trip ends and there is no customer care

I dont trust ola with even 300-500 rupees so needless to say I will never even dream about spending thousands/lakhs with them. Once you get your money back please count this as a blessing and never ever buy any expensive item from ola.

I can vouch for Honda based on my experience since childhood...kinetic honda 15 years, activa 15 years, father activa 15 years, honda city 10 years, honda amaze ongoing. The Honda EV I think is not worth it right now so either buy a petrol activa from them or you can buy ev from other known brands who are reliable

For your future reference please never spend big with either of below brands too (imo again I dont trust them) - Zomato, Blinkit, Flipkart, Cred, Reliance

Those who are willing to cheat you for 20 rupees to 500 rupees will surely cheat you when you give them lakhs

never underestimate the power of PR & propaganda.

customer ?? that bhavesh don't even treat its employee as human. that's too much to ask from this person.
Also company is already diverting their focus to Ai now, the vehicle business is done. will continue the PR marketing until its all inventory is sold.
