ONDC (Open Network for Digital Commerce) lets restaurants sell food directly to consumers without the need for a third party

ondc should be the cheaper option in the longer run
Here's why i think so -

Price of an order has these components
Base food price
Packaging - customer
Delivery
Third party commission

Swiggy Zomato take the third party commission out of the base food price, and charge the consumer for delivery.
In turn they give customer service(ensures delivery comes on time, take loss if something wrong happens) and kuch bade logo ko unlimited use 50 rupee coupons.

Ondc -
Base food price 👍
Packaging - customer
Delivery - customer
No commission. -- which should ideally incentivise restaurants for free packaging and concession on delivery

Baki capitalism ka zamana hai. Restaurants wale bolenge - itne salo Tak swiggy ne kamaya, ab hum kamayenge

Are wo to ch** banane ki ninja technique hai.
1. wo coupon lagao to koi aur coupon nahi laga sakte. Itna hi "gurantee" dena hai to Zomato credits do - jaise Domino's deta hai
2. bas 2 din tak valid hota hai
3. Pata nahi kyu mujhe Aisa feel hota hai ki jab jab mere pass on time wala coupon raha hai, KOI AUR COUPON usse better hota hi nahi. Kewal 50 rs wale offers bachte.

But reality abi se dikh rhi h... packaging charges or delivery charges dono swiggy se zyada h ondc me

Uska use mai aise restuarant me dhundke krta hu jinme without coupon 40-50% off hota h😂

Mne bhi multiple delay pe multiple coupon liye hai aur sabhi coupons ek baar use ke baad remove ho jaate hai.

Baas ek baar hua thha mere saath ki ek coupon umlimited times lag raha thha toh m 200 ke multiple order karta thha 50 off ke liye.

maximum riders ko address bhi yaad ho gaya😂

Har koi kaam se kamm 2-3 baar toh aaya hi thha.

Vo sirf mehange fruits ka return lete hai. Saste fruits ka koi kuch nhi puchta. Zyada se zyada google se kharab fruit ki photo leke upload kar diya karo. 🤣

Useful for Deals of the Day restaurants where all items are available @ 99/129/149 etc. or for items/restaurants which aren't eligible for coupons otherwise
 
So I just tried ordering few grocery items from ONDC. Said to be delivered within 2 hrs. Whole day has passed. No communication regarding the order. Raised complaint with Paytm. No reply from their side as well. Called the store no. which is mentioned and that was fake. This is sad reality of ONDC which can't be solved when there's no one to take responsibility.

Or we can say a Middleman is needed to ensure delivery within the stipulated time with their own drivers. This is exactly what traditional ecom companies are doing like Zomato, Bigbasket, etc. Concept of ONDC is total bogus.
