Are you paying your credit card bill via 3rd party app or directly from your bank portal? then you are probably losing 1% cashback.
If you pay your credit card bill via HDFC Bank bill payment portal using your HDFC Bank debit card then you can earn 1% cashback, maximum Cashback capping depends on your debit card type.
Maximum Cashback Capping-
If you have HDFC Easyshop Platinum debit card then you can earn 1% upto Rs. 750 per month, just pay Rs. 75,000 bill & get Rs. 750 cashback.
If you have HDFC Millennia debit card then you can earn 1% upto Rs. 400 per month, just pay Rs. 40,000 bill & get Rs. 400 cashback.

Not only credit card bill, you can pay any utility bill you want (must be available on Hdfc bank bill payment portal) & get 1% cashback.

To Pay Bill Follow These Steps-
1. Login to your HDFC Bank Netbaning
2. Click on "BillPay & Recharge" tab -> Click on Continue



3. Now click on Add Biller
4. Select Credit Card
5. Now select your card provider name



6. Enter your credit card detail
7. Enter amount you want to pay
8. Select your debit card from drop down menu
9. Click on pay



10. Enter OTP & Done!

You'll receive 1% Cashback for the transaction, you can check & redeem your debit card Cashback from "Card Tab -> Debit Card -> Enquiry -> Cashback Enquiry & Redemption"

1. No it's not possible to pay the HDFC credit card bill
2. Yes you can pay any credit card bill from your platinum DC, rewards will be added to your debit card.

Thanks for the info. Not adding ability of paying their own CC bill is probably because they already know the spending pattern/history. Hence the incentive to only pay other CC's bills.

I hava a HDFC salary account and platinum DC. Whenever I try to pay credit card bill using netbanking->billpay using debit card option, it fails immediately. No money is debited either. What can be the reason? I tried paying for amazon pay icici and sbi cashback. Both are failing.

This happened for me when I just added the card. Gave it some 12 hours and later it worked. So you can give it a retry after sometime.

Load balance to Amazon pay and pay via UPI (using your handle @amazonpay). Same offer can be simulated here it you have Millennia DC.

Don't do it on a weekend. From my personal experience redeeming points on a weekday is better.

Millennia DC will give 1% CB upto 400/month for wallet loads as well. So, load paytm via MIllennia and pay the CC bill with the loaded sum

Pls, check if your debit card transactions are enabled properly. I also faced this issue, my debit card transaction was not enabled, also check the limit of transactions on your debit card.

I have paid Hdfc cc bill using hdfc platinum dc via bajaj finserv app, but I didn't get 1% cb.I don't know the reason though as per the T&C I should have got cb since it is considered utility bill payment.
