If you pay your credit card bill via HDFC Bank bill payment portal using your HDFC Bank debit card then you can earn 1% cashback, maximum Cashback capping depends on your debit card type.
Maximum Cashback Capping-

If you have HDFC Millennia debit card then you can earn 1% upto Rs. 400 per month, just pay Rs. 40,000 bill & get Rs. 400 cashback.

Not only credit card bill, you can pay any utility bill you want (must be available on Hdfc bank bill payment portal) & get 1% cashback.

[Urgent help needed] I am in a bit of trouble, I paid my Axis cc bill via HDFC billpay on 4th. I know it takes 3-4 working days to settle but I didn’t know they had bank holidays in between and so the bill has not settled yet and today is my due date.
So I thought I’ll just pay the same amount via cred or something where it’ll get credited immediately.
I want to know if I can transfer the extra amount back to the bank in any way once it gets credited? 🥲
Bro don't f**k up your cibil for 1% bill payment rewards. If i were in your position, i would have used axis website to settle the bill then asked them to refund the other amount.

I get your point. How long does it take for Axis to settle their bill payments? Cause my bill is due today. I don’t have an Axis account, the pay bill option is greyed out.

I have done it once with ICICI. After both the amounts are credited, email customer care and ask them to transfer the excess payment to your bank account. Takes 4-5 working days for everything. No charges. Axis will probably function the same way

Paid the bill via cred and was settled instantly. At least CIBIL will be intact. Lets hope they issue the refund once the settled amount is credited. 🤞
Thanks everyone.

I sent a trial payment of 500 Rs to my ICICI card via billpay. It took close to 7 days to get an acknowledgement via SMS from ICICI. Luckily the bill was not generated for this card
If you want the 1% then I would suggest to pay immediately upon bill generation.

I am facing same issue I made the payment on 4th APR 2022 using HDFC BILL PAY Payment has not been credited to account.

HDFC AND AXIS CUSTOMER CARE SAYS IT WILL BE GET REFLECTED on after 10 April 2023 because of holidays.

I made payment of Amex through HDFC BILL PAY which gets settled very next day.
I guess axis has issue.

Mobikwik and cred is best place to make the credit bill payment for instant settlement specially for AXIS.

Don't understand the logic, aren't these system automated or do they shutdown the systems during holidays!!! 🤔
