Payment to wrong UPI id

Hi all, appreciate if you could share your suggestions. My father made payment of 3k to an incorrect UPI id through Amazon UPI. I called up Amazon customer care but they said they can not do anything since the transaction was authenticated using correct PIN.

Can anyone let me know if there is anyway to get this corrected. I did some google and found NPCI portal allows raising such complaints but not sure if there is any meaningful action is taken on such complaints. Thanks in advance
 
You'll have to contact the Bank and place a request. Experience may greatly vary based on the bank itself.

Citibank is pretty good in handling such issues, at least in credit card section but other banks including HDFC, ICICI have been disappointing. Government banks may be worse
 
I have transferred 1950 rs to a wrong UPI id via UPI credit card. Any chance of getting it back or transaction reversal?

How could you send money to the wrong UPI ID using a UPI credit card?

P2P UPI transfers are not allowed on UPI credit cards.

If it was a bank UPI transfer, raise a chargeback with your immediately bank — tell them you sent the money to the wrong UPI ID.

Wrong UPI merchant. In Super money app there is an option to pay again same merchant without scanning the QR code. I have selected pay again option and paid to wrong merchant.

Bank denied to take any request. What are the options available for me?

Contact the merchant and ask for refund or apply chargeback from bank.

Can we get compensation if bank denies chargeback request. I have raised chargeback with FI and receiver bank 🪓is denies saying the transaction was done with upi pin. I didn't get delivery and seller refuses to refund. Amount isn't Material like 499. Nor Cred nor FI or 🪓IS is helping. Thinking if I should raise to RBI ombudsman I have all the proofs
