I used to pay my ICICI amazon bill using paytm a while back, havent used it pay any CC bill in last 4-5 months.
toady they sent me a mail with the bill amount & last date. Paytm dosent have any access to my SMS or email so how did they found out this info?

ICICI has registered on BBPS, so is this a BBPS benefit?

What's the big deal every bill payment service has this option if you pay a credit card bill from that.

Cred is the best it also analyze the bill n tells if there are any extra charges like annual fees etc

the deal is, how they get this info & what else they got

they dont have access to my email or SMS, when you use CRED you gave them email permission to do stuff

That's not a big deal, they take your credit card as a biller whenever a new bill is generated they get notified

It is same as utility n internet bill

Simple answer is, you have NOT read any of the tnc's of Paytm as u used to use months back, that's why you don't know.
I used to use cred a lot, but due to recent changes, I added my credit card as biller in my prime ktk 811 a/c, it is fast . And for other credit cards incase I have bank accountsnof the same bank, I did internal payment, that was instant.

People with more than 10 credit card each of different banks it is not possible to use bank account,
Cred is still the best n is working fine, it is settling payment through NEFT for banks not registered with BBPS

HDFC Bill pay is having ICICI creditcards as BBPS now and able to add smartpay. I guess if all billers moved to BBPS people can stop giving email access to CRED finally.

Yes for me bill yet to get generated
So paytm saying no dues for this card bye bye

I was able to confirm with Paytm, they said they can fetch bill of CC if bank is BBPS complaint, its death for cred I guess, not that I was using it anyway.
but since they dont provide any good cashback now, I think people should just stop using those apps & not share their personal financial data with these company.
