Paytm's custom VPA is back

There is a new option Personalise UPI ID available under All UPI services. I am able to activate my old custom VPA for YES bank and AXIS bank as of now.

Please check your UPI settings and see if you can add/re-enable custom VPAs even if you don't have Personalise UPI ID/SuperPowers/Whats New option.

Edit: Paytm has once again, enabled Edited VPAs. We are no longer restricted to just selected VPAs.

paytm provide few UPI ID suggestions (name & few digits of mobile number combinations) and we have to choose from them. good option compare to mobile number UPI ID.

Anyone can create. But only from suggested VPAs.

Many apps are shifting to suggested VPAs instead of purely custom VPAs mainly to reduce impersonation and frauds. Yes Pay Next, Super Money, even ICICI disabled edited VPAs.

They removed the section to personalize upi id...it seems, they made it live for testing.

Yes, the option is gone for me as well. But it redirected us to UPI Settings page only so check upi settings.

Well, I randomly opened my Paytm app today and surprisingly found this option where they gave me a lot of custom ids to choose from - I went ahead with “mylastname+last3digitsofmobno.@ptaxis”
