People upgrading to premier variant...... Don't upgrade

People having easy/ select.... Please dont upgrade to it..... As the 5x rewards are not being credited due to mcc issue....

Premier gives 5x rewards on dining, travel and international spends... For travel only one mcc is valid.... Even after complaint to customer care the bonus points are not credited citing mcc mismatch.... They are expecting customers to get the correct mcc from merchant....

I have tried premier on oyo, easemytrip... And cleartrip which are quite renowned travel websites.... 5x not credited.... Also Have tried on goibibo... Will update after Rewards are credited.... The flat rewards rate is only 0.5%.


Only those who want rupay card can go for it as its better than easy rupay....

Also u cant pay bill of rupay bob cards on mobikwik, amazon pay, imobile.... And cant add money in airtel wallet

Select card is the good option as it gives 1.25% on all online transactions upto 1000 points per month...

I have LTF VISA Easy Card with 2 add-on card. How did you upgrade it to premier, do they ask for any documents? After upgrade my card will be LTF or not?

No documents.. Send email for upgrade before 30th sept.on conversions@bobfinancial.com. .. Ltf offer going till then only.... Send same email 2-3 times.... They will send u one form to fill.... If u are lucky then agent might forward ur request for upgrade without filling the form also.... That is why send 2-3 times... Email.... Every email will be attended by different customer care executive

No issues with emi... Credit card account number will be same.. Just card number will change... And yes its working everywhere on offers.... But it dont work on credit card bill payment in amazon, mobikwik, imobile..I am talking about RuPay variant of any bob card. .

Plus it wont work on aeronpay.... And add on cards I cant say as I dont have addon card... If add on card remains visa... Uts plus.. U can use the card where ever rupay not working

BOB Select card is also broken as despite purchase of ₹13000 phone from Flipkart where it is supposed to give 5X reward points, they gave 1X. The merchant was Paytm_FlipkartInternet BANGALORE IN. BOB Financial will blame Flipkart and Flipkart will blame BOB. In case of unsatisfactory resolution, I will complain about BOB Financial to RBI and Flipkart to National Consumer Helpline. But tell me who do you think is at fault about this? I think BOB Financial should be responsible as they are the ones with the card and giving offers on merchants.

First, try to find out the MCC and check if that MCC is excluded or not. This will make it easier to determine who is responsible.

Yup I've asked the MCC to crm@bobfinancial but it seems the RP system is entirely broken on BOB cards as for another transaction where vendor is Snapdeal Pvt Ltd, also 1X RPs given instead of 5X.

If you get the MCC, it will be better for you and this way you don't have to fight on both fronts

Yep. After fooling BOB with a sweet worded email that Flipkart and Myntra are to blame, they said they are contacting technical team to convey me the MCC.

I am not yet. Knowing MCC code will reveal if they set it wrongly or if BOB didn't give RPs despite setting correct MCC. "In case of unsatisfactory resolution, I will complain" I said 🙂 Somebody is at fault here and it sure as hell is not the customer. BOB gives a credit card that rewards online spends and merchant like Flipkart not eligible for 5X rewards? Then what is? This is BOB washing their hands off the matter as part of the card's devaluation I think but if the MCC reveals Flipkart set the wrong code, then they are to blame.

I think you don't have a valid case to pursue this matter with Flipkart. They'll simply not give a damn. If you paid and then you didn't get the product then only they can be involved.

Yup but that doesn't mean I won't fight. I may not win the case but RBI and Indian ecommerce ministry can make some rule changes. I am tweeting furiously to them on Twitter to fix such things. I lose nothing except a few RPs worth ₹100. I already got flat ₹1500 discount on the BOB card for the purchase. But still it's wrong in principle what they are doing. MCC codes *are* being faked and substituted with incorrect ones to get away with MDR charges or not give rewards for excluded categories. And the problem with BOB cards is also real - makes its cards useless. Since they gave an excuse for Snapdeal also and gave just 1X, do they give the same excuse for their co-branded BOB Snapdeal card as well for the same item?

But snapdeal card give 5x points on everything, right? It wasn't included in the devaluation last year. At least for utility category, it still gives.

Limit doesn't matter.... I got when My limit was only 34k...u can try to upgrade after mailing them
