People with Diners Club Black card. How and where are you using your card ?

Hello everyone,

I was wondering how folks with Diners Club Black are using it. I have a DCB LTF card which I use mostly on HDFC smartbuy , some online websites and very few offline locations as the acceptance is low.

Looking forward to know some other places where I can use the card.

Using now only for smartbuy transactions and dining on weekends (2x points). 4-5 months back DCB was my primary card with 90%+ spends, now that has moved to Magnus. Most of my spending is online so didn’t face acceptance issue much.

buy amazon pay gift vouchers, amazon gift card vouchers each month from smartbuy, instead of shopping directly on amazon. same with myntra and flipkart. unless there is no other discount, these give an effective cashback of around 10%. so if you are buying something on amazon for say 200 rupees, use your gift card balance as there is hardly any discount on any other card for such a low value transaction.

also use swiggy dineout for restaurant dining and pay with dcb on the app..i am getting around 30% off using that.

When you have a LTF card, the motivation to extract the most out of it reduces as well. As of now, only using it to book train tickets and for unlimited lounge access. The only other reason to hold it other than being LTF is the name of my alma-mater below my name on the card. Leads to some really good conversations at times. 😬

I am looking for Magnus too but my transactions wont go above 8L in an year now. Just considering is it worth to take Magnus now as I have DCB LTF now.

I am trying to do all these along with booking flight & train tickets. Thanks for reminding about Dine out. I stopped using Swiggy and shifted to Zomato
