Hello peeps

I took a personal loan from HDFC bank and EMI will be auto debited from my ICICI Salary account on 7th of every month but today(7th September) it got failed due to insufficient funds and I received the following message from ICICI
ECS/NACH of Rs X towards HDFC BANK LIMITED from ICICI Bank Acct XX has returned on 07-Sep-23 due to Insufficient fund. Applicable return charges will be levied.

I have transferred the required amount to my ICICI salary account immediately. Contacted HDFC bank but I didn't receive proper response from them to my questions. Following are my queries
1) Will bank try to deduct EMI again. If yes when ?
2) Any way to manually pay the EMI ? tried from HDFC Netbanking but its not working.
3) Any late payment charges from HDFC ?
4) Will this be reported to Credit bureaus ?

Bro today my uncle has got the same problem. He didnt have funds in icici account.
SO NACH FAILED. He called me.
I paid the bill manually by fetching details from SBI COLLECT and paid the bill.
So kindly please share your experience regarding below questions

1) Does now it effects his CIBIL SCORE orNOT (even we paid manually on the same day if NACH FAILURE)
2) Does Bounce charges will be debited or not From his Icici account.
3) Does Again NACH happens again in this month for the same payment, since we paid manually.
4) If NACH again happens in this month, what is the solution ??

Please any one share your experience.

1. No it will not affect your cibil score if you paid the due as well as bounce charges on same due day. Otherwise bounce charges will report as overdue. So pay the bounce charges immediately.

Note - your bounce will be reported separately to cibil, but that will not affect or shown in your cibil report. But, bank can see how many time that you have bounce.

2. To be in safer side pay the bounce charges manually

3. No if you paid your due manually, there will no nach this month. But again, keep the balance for safer side.

4. Keep due amount + 1000rs is the solution if they again do nach. But it will be refunded in couple of days if the debit happened

Missed hdfc payment and paid after 5 days , how many points will it drop? have asked hdfc not to report to cibil but they mentioned they can't do anything and will report it to cibil

Try to connect with repco and ask for way to pay the charges using payment link or something. Try fetch the loan account from sbi collect now and check whether bounce charges posted now.

If possible, visit directly to any of branches and pay and request them to not report to cibil as Goodwill

It will not debit automatically. That's the worst things in loan accounts. It's not organized well.

In digital India, there is no way to pay loan due manually or any charges manually in many banks and loan providers.

It will drop around 50 points, but it will raise again eventually to current state. But on time payment will show, 1 missed. That's is also not a big issue.

But, banks will use this as bargain point to increase your loan interest rate when you are applying

Damn , I'm sad lol 7 years of history and never missed single payment. Will bank remove that late payment later if i ask after some time ?

Later stage, it is not possible, you can try now. Because it will automatically report to cibil at end of this month.

So, you can request now to not report as overdue as a Goodwill. You can explain like i am a valuable customer and it was a mistake that you missed this payment. You need to escalate this request to higher team to get positive result
