PhonePe, HDFC Bank launch co-branded RuPay credit card with UPI integration

PhonePe and HDFC Bank have jointly launched the ‘PhonePe HDFC Bank Co-branded Credit Card’ on the RuPay network. This marks PhonePe’s entry into the co-branded credit card space.

The card is aimed at digital-first consumers and offers UPI-linked credit payments.

The card is available in two variants—‘Ultimo’ and ‘UNO’. Both are designed to offer rewards across daily spending categories, with added convenience of UPI-based transactions using credit.

CashBack Accrual:

CashBack will be given in the form of Reward Points, which can be redeemed by you against the statement balance (on request only).
The redemption against the statement balance will be at the rate of 1 Reward Point = ₹1
The minimum Reward Points balance required for redemption against the statement balance is 500 Reward Points
Reward Points can also be used for redemption against other benefits like Flight & Hotel bookings and Rewards Catalogue at the SmartBuy Rewards Portal, at a value of 1 Reward Point = ₹0.30.

Maximum CashBack of Rs 7500 per month

Unredeemed CashPoints will expire/lapse after 1 year of accumulation

Apologies if this question was already asked before. Which network is better to choose for Phonepe SBI black in visa and rupay? Also I am not seeing the option to apply for this card in Phonepe. Can I apply through SBI sprint? FYI - Apart from CB card I don't have any other relationship with SBI.

Take rupay and apply via sprint

Thanks for the input. I did the same as well but after filling all the required details I got redirected into vkyc portal and it got terminated abruptly. Later got the sms stating my application no has been generated. When I tried to track the status it is saying incorrect application no. I saw in the forum that many people are facing this issue. Hoping to get a call from SBI CC team to resolve this Asap. Let's see 🤞
 
I am one of the earliest users of PhonePe App.

On 30/JUL, applied for HDFC-PHONEPE Card via PhonePe App.

Being a SBMax customer of HDFC, for the last 3 years, the processing says it will be faster.

BUT, even after OTP authentication of Aadhaar, PAN and SBMax login credentials, it is still UNDER PROCESSING since 30/JULY.

They asked me to send a couple of Dox (self attested Aadhaar and PAN - again) and a 1 page Digital Application (which anyway doesn't add anything, except my signature) to their lethargic n notorious Chennai office.

After receiving these dox, the App said - I have made it through ALL steps. VERIFICATION is ON. And, it will take just 2-3 days more.

Already 3 days over.

Is this how a DIGITAL VERIFICATION is supposed to take place ? Takes 3 weeks AFTER OTP AUTHENTICATIONS and PHYSICAL SUBMISSION OF DOX.

STILL, not yet done.....

HDFC Online site says UNDER PROCESS.

PHONEPE App says - Digital KYC Process is ON. Verification is in PROGRESS.

It's HDFC's bad luck to decline one of the MOST ELIGIBLE candidate here.
