Please suggest a good Fuel Card

Hi,

I have already used and closed BoB (earn rewards only when paid thru HP Pay) and IDFC Power+ (only at select HP bunks) cards.

Can someone suggest good Fuel Card (only HPCL and Indian Oil please)?

I would recommend BPCL Octane if you have a BPCL outlet near your home/office and have a Bharat gas cylinder as it gives a flat 6.25% and 1% surcharge waiver. Consider this only if you have less than Rs.10,000 spending on the above categories. This can also be a go-to card for offline purchases like grocery, departmental stores, etc. as it gives flat 2.5% cashback.

In site it is mentioned 5%. But in reality it is 1% Fuel Surcharge Waiver + 4% Reward. Accelerated rewards is restricted to 5000 per month on fuel spends.

So practically, if you buy fuel for 5000rs a month, you will get 200rs as rewards.

You will not get rewards for MRCC for fuel transactions but gold charge you will get. However the transaction will be counted for 1.5K*4 transaction milestone

Yeah it is good but they are not crediting points diligently. We have to call CC and get. It might not be possible always, right? My brother has this.

You don't get normal MR on MRCC for fuel. But you'll get the bonus 1000 MR.
Gold charge on the other hand gives you both normal MR and bonus 1000 MR on fuel spends.

One thing to note is that Amex charges 1% surcharge unless the fuel spend is on HPCL. Even on HPCL surcharge is waived only for transactions less than 5000.

99% Scan QR and using my IDFC Fastag.
