Why it takes so mich time to transfer points from axis edge to ITC. and then again 10 days to transfer ITC to marriot

From ITC to marriot can take 8-10 weeks according to their site.
I did Edge to Marriot as I needed to book hotel urgently. This happened within 5-10 minutes.

y are u doing, edge to ITC and from ITC to marriott, instead you can do it directly right from edge to marriott?

You get better conversion if you transfer edge to ITC to Marriot.
Ex: Let's suppose you have to transfer 500 edge reward.
1) Edge to ITC -> 400 (5:4)
ITC to Marriot ->600 (2:3)
So, effective conversion, 500 Edge -> 600 Marriot points.

2) Edge to Marriot -> 400 (5:4)

So, you get more marriot points if you do first step but obviously it's time consuming process.

Hello all, I initiated the transfer to ITC on Thu, 24th Aug 8:30 pm. Don’t see the RPs in Axis anymore but not reflecting in ITC yet? What timelines apply here?
