Hi,

So I was just curious about the devaluation of magnus rewards. if it does happen, how will it happen?
- will they stop the 25k rewards points
or
- will they reduce the air miles conversion ratio of 5:4. if this does happen, will it be immediate or will they say starting from date xyz onwards.

i'm going to keep accumulating ER in the next few months, but just worried that it should not get devalued before I make the transfer to the airline partner.

Not just these. Removal of 25k bonus, Gyftr cap, Traveledge cap, 5:4 limited to burgundy and above customers. Accumulate the points while you can.

If all this are removed , Magnus will become lifeless not even worth 3k annual charges

Even for select card they are providing 6 golf rounds a year and with Magnus there are none
Select also gives 6 PP per year , that is more than enough for year . Only thing good about Magnus is it’s milestone benefits if that’s gone almost 90% users will surrender it

atleast 3 to 4 months as even for crediting grabdeals and gyftr 5x/10x ER they take 120 days 😀
Why 3-4 months? As per the contract of the card, any changes in the earnings will need prior intimation.
The redemption is not as per the contract (except 20ps per ER value).
So they can devalue the partner redemption at any point of time (even with kind of zero notice or at best may be few days notice). Hence don't be surprised if it comes out of the blue. But let's hope for the best, specially because this has been initiated only few months back and Axis is on overdrive to capture Credit Card market with these offers and dethrone HDFC. If they any such things they will just fall wayside with lots of surrender specially high value customers.
