Priority Pass Fraud! False Charges By Priority Pass

Thank you for your kind comments, everyone. For those still supporting Priority Pass, here is my exact itinerary attached as a PDF. Also a screenshot of it which shows my flight landed in Oct 30 at 10:40 PM, which means I wouldn't have time to fly to any other airport with a Travel Club Lounge. Also, another screenshot of a google search to show you that there are no lounges in Kochi airport called "Travel Club Lounge".

EDIT: Someone suggested here to show the slip they gave me at Kuala Lumpur lounge but I thought I had already thrown it away because its been 3 months. But just as I was typing this, I thought I'll check my bag and lo and behold I found the slip. The ink has faded since it has been so long, but it is somewhat readable. You can clearly see that it says Kuala Lumpur airport on October 30th (i dont know if the image will be compressed for you guys, but its readable on my end). I will use this and talk to priority pass. Thanks everyone
This is a public forum and you must hide confidential info. before sharing it online. Remove the receipt. People ask for things but never entertain their all request on a public forum. Remove all these attachements or delete post. You don't need to prove it to anyone here. Just keep fighting for your right is all I can suggest.

why? he has the copy simple as per the post 2 transaction were done ... 1 while going which was not charged and one while returning which is charged...and he has the proof of copy that it was used outside india simple af ... when u can solve a prob plz dont just keep on saying anything from the start u havent read the post and just constantly blaming the op 🤣

more over on 30th its not possible for him to use it in india as i doubt there is a arrival lounge in kerela side so its next to impossible that even by mistake he used in india

on top of that the pp says travel club which is not there in kerela its earth lounge or something

@Joel Johnson , You didn't have to share any proofs, please delete them immediately. Anyone with an ounce of reading comprehension would've got the gist of your situation.

As other members have pointed out it's not uncommon for Priority Pass, Banks, and/or International Banks to make such mistakes.

@Abhi1986476 Now I understand why they started writing PUSH/PULL on the door handles. You wouldn't be able empty a glass of water with instructions at the bottom.

hahaha 🤣 some ppl don't read and just jump to conclusions what to do 😛 ... there is literally 0 chances of op using it in india on 30th xD still that person is saying anything xD either he didnt read it properly or is dumb 🤣🤣

1) there is no travel club in kerela
2) i guess there is no arrival lounge in kerela so he cant use pp anyways on arrival

still he says mistake is op's 🤣🤣

noice once done let us know with the update and if there is no help put it in rbi ombudsman bcuz there is literally 0 chances that mistake can happen from ur side as per all the things u have said ..

whenever they contact u..do mention about that there is no arrival lounge in kerela so u cant even use the pp there on 30th and even no travel club lounge so how is it possible to use.. and even the slip u have which u used in Malaysia is more than enough that the pp was used on 30th and where exactly 💯

here you say u did enter earth lounge, did u use PP here or your credit card? if u used PP, then there will be a charge as PP outside india is free not inside india. I know you said you used sbi prime, but just in case i am saying if u used PP, then there will be a charge.

I'm sure PP ticket system will fix this for you though.

I used my SBI card, not PP. I had a charge of 25 rupees on my SBI card which was immediately refunded. Also, that was on the 14th. The PP statement said I used PP Card on 30th in India.

on 30th it shows travel club which doesn't exist in Kerala and even no arrival lounge in kerela so it's not possible to use any access there 🤣 simple as that he cannot even use it by mistake in India xD
 
Hello Technofino community, this is my first post. I wish it could've been on better circumstances.

My problem begins in October 2024. I had to visit Bali (Indonesia) for my work for 2 weeks. I had to travel from Kochi (Kerala), via Kuala Lumpur, to Bali.

I had an SBI Prime card which gave me access to Priority Pass, so I was excited to use it for the first time. This card gave me

4 complimentary visits per calendar year to International Priority Pass Lounges, outside India (max. 2 visits per quarter)
8 complimentary visits per calendar year to Domestic Lounges in India (max. 2 visits per quarter)

So, on the 14h of October, I started from Kochi, entered the Earth Lounge with my SBI Prime. Then, the next day, I reached Kuala Lumpur for my transit and entered the Travel Club Lounge with my Priority Pass. Then went to Bali

On the 30th, I returned from Bali and reached the Kuala Lumpur Travel Club Lounge once again. Then came back to Kochi and did not enter any lounge in India that day. Just went home.

In January, when I checked my SBI Prime card statement, I was surprised to see a charge of almost Rs 2700. So, I contacted SBI Cards and they said I used Priority Pass in India on the 30th (the day I came back), which shouldn't be done.

I said, there was no way I entered the lounge in India on the 30th. The flight landed at 11 PM and I was so tired from the journey, I just wanted to go home and sleep.

Then they sent me the exact statement they got from Priority Pass:


Country-India/Lounge-Travel Club Lounge/Visit Date-20241030/Guest-0/Total Visits-1/Reverse-0

Country-Malaysia/Lounge-Travel Club Lounge/Visit Date-20241015/Guest-0/Total Visits-1/Reverse-1


At this point, even I was starting to doubt myself. "Did I even go to that lounge that day?" even though that made no sense.

But on looking again, I found the problem. Both entries say "Travel Club Lounge" . That's the name of the lounge I went in Malaysia. However, there is no lounge in Kochi airport which is called "Travel Club Lounge". The one in Kochi is called "Earth Lounge"

On checking further, the closest Travel Club Lounge (which is operated by a company called TFS) is in Chennai. And my itinerary proves that I couldn't have been in Chennai that day.

Also, it shows that I visited the Kuala Lumpur lounge only once which is not true. I visited it twice (both to and fro on 15th and 30th). So here is what happened. My second lounge entry on the 30th at Kuala Lumpur was wrongly marked in their system as an entry in India. Its a computer error.

So I emailed SBI again, then they called me today. I explained everything to them. They believed me but they said they cannot do anything. Priority Pass just gives them these details and they have no control on charges. They asked me to contact Priority Pass directly.

When I checked, there weren't any customer support in India. There are only a couple of international numbers on their website. Now I have to recharge an international pack just to contact them.

Look, I wouldn't mind spending 2 or 3k. I'm not someone who complains about bank charges, but when you carefully spend time meticulously reading all their terms and conditions and then plan your journey accordingly to avoid any charges, and in the end you still get charged anyway feels like extortion. I'm not going to pay for a system error. This was my first experience with Priority Pass and I'm dissapointed to say the least.

Does anyone have any advice for me?
Same happened with me , i too have sbi prime card , i used in my pp in phuket international airport , tried to contact many times to sbi customer care, mailed to the nodal officer and got the exact same reply that you got , that i have used my pp in india , i have shown them my tickets and cleraly mentioned i have used it in phuket not in india , i reached in igi airport and it does not have a lounge on arrival.
Please tell me if you got any solution for it,

And it has happened to me on 19th November and got charges of rs 2727 in my current bill for PP.

One thing @OP please raise a chargeback on the txn. Claiming (fraud) that there are no such lounge in Kerala India.

Dispute that transaction immediately. PP has no incentive to help you. PP might have deliberately started doing this for customers in countries where they would face no legal remifications.

Right now per the statement. Your Priority Pass was scanned in India. You will waste your time explaing things. Just claim fraud, providing the proof that the mentioned lounge doesn't exist. Do not claim or explain anything else, these are low IQ scum and will waste your time to eternity. You see a txn you did't make and have proof to support it, just claim fraud.

Only the bank can reverse the transaction :woman-facepalming:. But the bank already said I should contact priority pass and they're helpless. I don't know what to do now. They're just shifting the blame to each other. My precious time is being wasted over this 2k charge.

Time is money and I'm just wasting money going after all this. I'll claim fraud like you suggested

Yeah and at no point in time will you claim anything other than fraud. On the mentioned date (30th) you were in kualalampur (that's the launge that shows as Indian Launge) and there is no way you can be at two places at the same time. Your whole case is based on physics. Use physics.

if this also doesnt work file a complain with rbi ombudsman that u took the card from sbi they should follow up with priority pass and get it sorted why should u run about? and still when u tried urself they are just blaming and sending u to the other person and not providing solutions just mention this ez

The exact same thing happened to me as well, on the same travel date (30th October, 2024) and in Kuala Lumpur airport only. I too have sbi prime card, and the bank is also not able to raise dispute for this transaction. Please keep this thread updated in case you figure something out after claiming fraud with the bank.

In this case, ask PP to correct the entries and give updated statement which you can submit to the SBI.
