Problem in Amex to Marriott transfer

Guys need help. I am trying to transfer Amex points to MR but I am getting error that transfer is not possible at this time please try again later.

Hey, check your first name and last name as well. If there is any mismatch in first name and last name, the transfer won’t be possible.
Example

Amex

First name- James,
Last name-Bond it’s James Bond

In Marriott

First name- Bond
Last name - James it’s Bond James

the name is same but the first name would be last name , the last name would be first name. So mail the Marriott. team. to change the name and share them your any ID proof
To get it, changed soon.

James Bond doesn't need no points, he stays free everywhere.

There was some problem with Marriott yesterday. Points were not getting transferred from Amex to MB. Tried multiple times and finally was able to transfer.

Same with the points transfer tool. It wasn't opening on my mobile.

Yes. Amex to MB successful and MB points transfer to another account was also successful. What issue are you facing?

"Your Marriott Bonvoy® account could not be verified at this time." Contacted Amex too, they say it's an ongoing issue and they're trying to fix it. Wonder how it worked for you

I had chat with amex helpline. After that I tried to add account and transfer points which was successful

Are you getting an error whilst linking your account, or are you getting an error whilst you are trying to transfer points?

Both. I’ve tried multiple accounts of me and my fam. Where accounts are linked and have had successful previous transfers, there points can’t be transferred. Where accounts are not linked, can’t even link the account.

This year too many Amex cards issued and too many bonus points given. So amex is thinking what to do😉
