Problems applying for Airtel Axis credit card

I've been receiving WhatsApp messages from Airtel saying I'm eligible for this card, but when I click the link and go to the Airtel app and click Apply Now, it takes me to a page that says "Thanks for your interest. We currently don't have any credit card offers for you".

It's the same if I apply straight from the Airtel app.

I've spoken to a couple of people in the credit cards department at the nearest Axis Bank branch and they don't know what it's about, since applications for this card are exclusively through the Airtel app. Airtel store people don't know either.

I've written to Airtel customer service, but I know I shouldn't hold my breath waiting for an answer.

Does anyone know how to get around this?

I am also facing the same issue in applying for an airtel credit card. any resolution?
 
Apply with a different number is the option.
I had the exact same issue and applied through different number and got the card.

But one thing to note is they will change the new number in your existing CC account also.
So I had to change the number back to original number after getting the card. 🙂

So you mean if you have other numbers (belonging to family members) under your account, use one of them to apply? How is this done? I cannot find a way to toggle between phone numbers in the app when applying for the card.

You can't toggle between phone numbers, just install the app on their phone and apply from there.

Can they change your number and still reject the application?
