PSA - Jim Corbett Marriott Resort & Spa Award Bookings are Now Open

I read replies from both sides. But am so confused where should I redeem my amex points. Taj vouchers require non member rates while Marriott valuation is never greater than .5rs. And I cant think of spending all points for 4 nights in one go for mariott.

In a nutshell the valuation of amex points is 50 paisa only and not more than that.

Headed there in November for 5 nights and the conversion I'm getting is ₹1.25 per point.

Your experience with Taj is completely different than mine because of your status. I'm holding Titanium status with Marriott, and I have had very pleasant experience. Constant upgrades, complimentary breakfast and lounge access, welcome amenities, gifts etc. It's definitely the status that shapes your experience with hotel brands.

My best upgrade so far was at JW Mauritius, where I'd booked the base room for 46k points a night, and I was upgraded to a massive beachfront villa that costs ₹180k a night. Marriott properties, especially the luxury ones are definitely expensive, but that is what I reserve points for, and I can also get the best value out of it that way. Otherwise cash bookings work just fine at budget and premium properties. The program has excellent reward rate too (21% at Titanium level) which works out for me.

I try to single out on a chain because it's easier to maintain a status that way. Reason I picked Marriott was because of its footprint and range of 3-star, 4-star, and 5-star hotels. I travel domestically as well as internationally; roughly 6-7 domestic trips and 3-4 international trips in a year, and 99% of the time Marriott is always an available option. Same goes for Hilton and Accor, both these brands have excellent footprint. Taj as a loyalty program never made sense to me for this reason, it's mostly limited to India only.
10 trips a yr....must tell ITD...whats your PAN....

I totally agree with your conversation rate but why would I think of spending 5 nights in a place where I ma happy with 2 nights and have to pay for all meals. It's turns out to be expensive overall
I spent 5 nights in Masai Mara and could have done more, so I'm going here with the same mind. Animal sightings at Jim Corbett are not always guaranteed, so you may or may night see anything in two days. Hence I'm spending 126k points for 5 nights in hope of more or better wildlife sightings, rather than spending 63k points for two nights with a chance of not finding anything.

I'll be doing safari on all these days.

Hello all, has anyone travelled here yet from the community? Wanted to know if they add breakfast and room upgrades for points booking, I am just a Gold elite so was wondering before making flight bookings. I'm have booking for Jan 12-17 but flights are getting costly due to holiday season so wanted to sort it out. Thanks in advance.

I have a booking coming up, spoke to Marriott Executives on the call breakfast is definitely included as per them for now. Upgrades will share after my stay.

Thanks will wait for your update, BTW whats your elite level status in MB,

Also please suggest on safari via hotel or direct and other activities in and around JC for 5 days stay. @BVC @malavkarkar
I have a contact person at the hotel for this if you want his phone number. The quote was about ₹13k per gypsy per session, and it can accommodate max 6 people. You can book 45 days in advance.
