Purchase above limit of credit card

My friend wants to buy OnePlus 15 mobile phone. The price is 80,000. HDFC CC full swipe gives discount of 3500. The cost comes down to 76500. The credit limit of the card is 70000. Bank is not giving limit enhancement offer. Is there a way to prepay the amount in the credit card and then purchase the mobile phone? If yes, please let me know on how to do that.
Do not want to use the overlimit feature provided by bank as that has extra charges.

Note: My friend draws salary of about 95K per month and has 3 LTF CCs from HDFC (MB+, Swiggy and Rupay UPI) and has been using HDFC CC for about 15 months now. No other relation with HDFC.

I don't think you can pre-pay and use the card over the issued limit with HDFC. Just my guess, not concretely sure on this.

Only over limit can work here . prepayment works in SBI , no idea about Hdfc.

Nope the way you are thinking it won't work bank will levy additional charges if you use even a penny above the limit. Best thing would be borrow someone's cc and use it or buy using gvs....

Would be purchasing mostly via Amazon or Tata Neu.
Would prefer offline only if I get better offer there
