RBL debit card transaction successful without otp

Guys today very strange thing happened

I tried to add 10000 into kotak 811 account using RBL signature plus debit card, it didn't ask any otp, directly transaction successful and money debited.

How can this happen? Anybody faced similar issue with RBL?
If it so happens frequently, we have to be careful with RBL

No not received, directly got debited message and money added into kotak

Strange. I've done it 7 times over 2 months, into 2 different Kotak 811 accounts. On 6 of those 7 occasions the amount was 10K. And all 7 times it asked for the OTP, even though the card was saved. In fact, I had to do more than 7 transactions, because sometimes the OTP didn't come in time and the transaction failed

Which payment gateway was used? I think PayU is the one that is normally used. Maybe, Kotak instead used a different gateway that did not require the OTP (I'm guessing here). What do the Kotak 811 and RBL account entries say? Also please post the same 2 from a point in the past when you have been asked for the OTP

Did 2 transactions yesterday,Both of 10k and it used same gateway.One got debited directly without otp and 2nd one asked otp.

Thanks for posting it. Unfortunately, I can't figure out any clue there. Maybe someone who knows more about payment gateways can comment as to why no OTP was asked the 1st time

Only international transactions are allowed without otp and you should raise this concern with RBI.

Hey adding money to kotak or indus funds via dc counts for 1k voucher?Is there any t&c for rbl signature+ card which is excluded??

Nothing is excluded as of now. Try searching their website.
