Regalia (18L limit) to Infinia Metal Upgrade?

My father holds hdfc regalia credit card (LTF) with 18lacs limit and we are all hdfc imperia customer. He holds a credit card from hdfc bank from last 15 years and have a great relationship with hdfc bank (investment,fd,rd,demat,mutual funds etc )

After seeing techno fino video I mailed hdfc grievance to upgrade the card from regalia to infinia metal but they replied that you are not eligible.


Any suggestions on how to get infinia metal under this scenario

1. Need to spend 7.5 Lakhs in last 6 months
2. Need 10 L plus limit on the HDFC CC (which your dad holds).

After they first replied that you aren't eligible, how did you escalate it? Or did you ask them to reconsider the decision?

3 months ago i mailed hdfc grievance and they refused and now two weeks ago i again mailed them that i need infinia card and now they approved

What changed since then and now? Your existing card usage or credit limit enhancement or anything else?

Nothing has changed i still had 18L limit and also my spending also didn't reached 7.5 lacs in last 6 months it was around 2.5 lacs

One of the bank employee told me that they had an internal syncups and seems like HDFC might plan to remove (or make it lenient) the spend criteria for existing customers.
Maybe thats happening here. Maybe thats why they upgraded my DCB to Infinia without meeting the spend criteria (though I had ~5L+ in last 6 month)

I think hdfc is launching his new super premium card soon that charges around 50k so maybe hdfc will give infinia to everyone who are just eligible with 10L limit

Herein they are not issuing Infinia because of no existing CC relationship with HDFC but DCB is available

I was a little below the ~ 7L spends-requirement myself, so perhaps they are relaxing the spends requirement for existing customers seeking an Infinia upgrade (although this conclusion is based on just three data points from this one thread, ha ha).
