Regarding charges for calling CC of SBI card

Hi All,

Just a small thing which I noticed today when I called SBI credit card CC for asking a doubt that my bill is fetched by HDFC Smartpay as Rs 10900.67 however in my sbi card app it shows as 10901 why is that so and what should I do. The person was not having proper knowledge. He confirmed that the bill fetched indeed is correct but I asked what will happen if I let autopay deduct it, there won’t be any penalty right.

He took quite some time but even in the end suggested to confirm with email once to have a written proof etc.

But when the call disconnected I noticed that my balance from Vi(sim) was deducted 51Rs for the call despite me being on unlimited pack. I found it weird that SBI card CC is a special charged number. Haven’t faced this earlier with other banks

So if anyone else also has issue keep the call as short as possible, I am still surprised is it correct or they deducted by mistake or something?

PS: I posted it in bank complaint section as the bank complaint is that it has a different kind of charged number. Mods can move it if needed I myself couldn’t figure out appropriate location though.

Edit: My bad just came across a plethora of such threads over the internet. They are indeed charged may be this had happened but I never noticed as didn’t read the message most often assuming it’s zero anyway.

If I may, wanted to use this reference for TF “Friends”

Solution
Most probably jio with unlimited pack let customers call premium numbers like 1860
But vi and Airtel doesn't.

1. Besides there is another two number which are not chargeable you should use that

2. You can leave them a message on X they will call you back and their social media customer service team is also very good

Thanks buddy I probably dialed the one which came in search results. I just found it weird, as realised this today.
