Regarding Closure of Axis Credit Card

SteelSh0t

TF Premier
I called Axis Bank to close my Credit card. I was charged Rs 500 + GST on the card as renewal fees. but I did not use the credit card after the fees were posted. Customer care took up my request and I asked them to reverse the fees. After that, my credit card statement was generated and I got a bill for Rs 590, after 2 days, I got an email from Axis that my Card is closed and fees had been reversed, but I still had to pay the due as reversal does not count as payment. So I sent another email that if I pay the due, how do I get the money back.

After that, I got another email saying that I do not need to pay anything as reversal is already done and I have no dues pending.

So I'm getting contradictory response from Axis.

What shall I do in this case? I don't Axis to ruin my Cibil score lol

Though you have already received a response regarding nothing to pay, you are safe with the written communication.

Answer to the question "How do we get money back" from AXIS(in case the fees was paid): Axis asks for a blank cancelled cheque image (submitted on chat) and transfer amount in a week time post communication.

Always pay the bill in these cases
Any outstanding amount on closed card can be transferred to bank even for active card

Can I downgrade Axis Magnus? Or do I have to close & re-apply for another card
You just have magnus from axis no other card?

If former is the case
Call axis ask for axis Neo ltf rupay or myzone rupay ltf
They will verify via otp

Now u have magnus & neo on shared limit

If u close magnus you will still have your limit in axis on neo

Then just close it on call
If u want airtel wait for pre approved by having 2 cards
If you want Atlas after closing the card call again ask for upgrade on Flipkart
Then choose atlas or any other card u want

On the same note, has anyone closed a citi to Axis migrated card post the migration to Axis? What happens to the limit that was given to both the cards during merger when the Citi/Axis card is closed? Does Axis close / roll back the limit on the Citi/Axis migrated card once it's closed?

Your highest limit is your limit u can mail them to match over cards

So for someone who had an Axis card and Citi card before merger, after merger, axis added the limit on the Citi card and gave a combined limit to both cards. My question was, now if they Citi card is closed after migration, would axis remove that migrated limit as well.
As @S9100 has mentioned, it seems they are not removing that migrated limit on the Citi/ Axis migrated card when closed.

I have a Citi rewards card which was migrated to Axis Rewards which is paid. I also have a M4B so I do not use the Rewards card much. Am thinking of closing the Rewards card if they do not convert it to LTF since the fee waiver is now 2L limit.
