Regarding Signature Update

I want to change my signature in my savings bank account.


I have a doubt: can I choose any signature I want, or are there any restrictions?


The bank officials mentioned that the new signature must match the one on my PAN card or driving license.


Can anyone help clarify this?

Not mandatory to match pan card signature.

I personally sign different and have no issues.

Just do KYC and update signature there.

Signature is a sign and can be anything you like. It can be drawing too. And no, not necessary that it should match your pan or any other document.

Signature may be different from PAN/DL but should match ditto with whatever signature proof you were giving to change your signature.

Means?? Axis bank given me service Request form and Signature card.

Signature can be anything that you want. All you need is a KYC from bank and voila.....

Yes but you had that setup since opening of the respective accounts right? Or you have updated in the middle

That's right. Setup was done in that way. May be that's why. Ur right it was done in that fashion from the beginning.

Just give notarized affidavit.. what is stopping you from giving this..
If you want them to believe that that is your signature then they need some proof right..otherwise you yourself will complain against them in future if someone with some signature withdraws from your account..

Note: I won't be pleased to deal with 🪓 in general

I totally agree with @SSV . You will need to give them some proof for changing your signature. However on a different note - How many technofino members actually use a simple signature and how many use a tough or complicated one. Cause it's really easy to forge a simple signature.....
