Required Docs & Tips - Schengen Visa

I’m planning to apply for Shengen visa
I’m also married and my spouse is homemaker
I’m also 32

All those bits are matching

Not sure about ITR!!! Can you at least give me an ITR of yours? Do they ask for ITR docs?

I don’t have any prior experience of apply for Schengen visa!!!
Some countries require 2 years of ITR, while others require 3. It is better to verify using the checklist for the country you looking to apply with. I have submitted only my last 2-year ITR and 3-month bank statements for Switzerland.

Hello! I just received my passport and it has been affixed with only a 30-day validity visa(within 3 months) when I had requested for a 2-month visa! Is this normal!? My travel date is just 12 days away, so is there any way to remedy this? This is my first time visiting the Schengen region.

Did you give the itinerary for 60 days?

Update- The Swiss consulate has asked me to submit my passport back to VFS for the visa. They will now issue a new visa for the original requested duration. 1 in a 1000 chance of it happening and it happened to me. 😅
And it’s quite frustrating for it to happen last minute, but I’m glad they are helping me out!

It’s also nice to see that it is possible to get a longer duration visa in your first attempt.

Have you got the revised visa? Similar thing happens with me from French Embassy.

Most painful countries to go to.. Plus most of the cities of erstwhile great tourist destination are in tatters and so dirty ki ghin aayegi... Only Switzerland was a league apart that too remote areas kuch better

My recommendation based on last 3 times in 10 years... Choose another set of countries if you can

Yes. I had to drop my passport off at the nearest VFS centre and I got in 3 days. They issued a new visa and cancelled the previous one.
Cool, I am also thinking of writting it to French Embassy as I have enough fund and considering it is my 3rd time with them , I don't see any reason of issuing me lesser days visa than my original itinary.

Can you DM the email format which you used for swiss.

So I got my UK VISA in the past week I am traveeling for business meetings for almost 2 months however weekends will be free. I am planning on just visiting 1 weekend to Paris is it worth the expense for 2 days and if Yes then if I apply now in how many days I will receive the VISA as most likely I will be leaving for UK by the mid to end of July

It’s not worth it, especially because you plan to leave my mid or end of July.

It’s not the expense, but you would risk your UK trip if you plan on applying for Schengen Visa now. It’s already 1st of July.

Appointments are only available after 10-15 days (minimum), and then their official TAT is 15 working days (from the date passports reach the Embassy).

You run the risk of not receiving your passport in time before your flight to the UK.

So, just focus on UK this time.

Only if you can get an appointment this week, can you even begin to consider it.

I used my irish bivs and went to London last year. But I think you cant travel to Northern Ireland with bivs. Just double check. Ireland is a wonderful and peaceful country to go to. I have travelled there atleast 12 times in the past 11 years.
