Resolved: SC Smart added intrest

For my SC smart credit card, last month, I redeemed cashback on my statement and paid the rest of the bill. But they have added interest to the pending statement.

I raised a query by calling the helpline, and they have raised request to revalue this charge.

Update: They agreed to reverse the same but need to pay the full amount (including interest) this month.

I have been facing this issue on a monthly basis since last year. This month I received an IVR stating I should pay the unbilled outstanding or my credit history will be affected.

Sadly, it is my oldest card but it will be the first card to go this year.

received a call yesterday to clear my unbilled outstanding balance or else my credit will be affected. Complaining to RBI today.

Update: I spoke to the escalation team who informed me that the request was taken and will be responded to within 24-48 hours. When I asked for complaint number, she didn’t have one and generated it after I persisted on getting the complaint number.this ,Dan’s the complaint number was not generated until I asked for one.
